we are curently in Tokyo just having played Fuji Rock which was beautiful
clean and sleepless. i thought i'd fill this screen with some news.


firstly we have to apologise to anyone who was gonna see us at the Osheaga festival. it doesn't look like we'll make it. which sucks. but we'll return. sorry. our feet are bandaged and bruised.

our callouses have healed too hard.

and our air-o-plane windpipes are full of air entering / exiting relentlessly.



recently we have:

+ decided not to cut our hair until the next record is finished. we are Samson....where is our Delilah?

+ been deconstructing our equipment ALIVE maybe looking for rubies or opal or gold hidden inside.

...we are releasing an iTunes only e.p.
called GOLD GOLD GOLD
which draws together b-side action all recorded at Dreamtrak.


+ drinking Sub Pop loser beer in seattle.


+ fighting for a friend and indubitable right cause. the doubters are the devil.


+ writing new material for b sides and an eager optimistic second record which will sound like the dream of an eagle dying .


+ buying new musical gear which will DO this thing.


+ Dave Ma'ing a new video for the next single Olympic Airways which sees us
topless nerds with octopus, detritus, fire, friends, fireworks and black balloons.


+ sorting tour supports out for Autumn UK which now include >>>>>> Wild Beasts, Maps + Atlases, Holy Fuck, Dananananaykroyd and some others.


+ existing extra (outside) timezones which feels a little bit like this sentence. formless, structureless headfuck.


+ recording a special session in Maida Vale studio No.3 for Colin Murray's "in the company of..." show.


we had some help from our brothers Sam + Matt who played brass and Chris percussionist / drummer from Antibalas joining us on four tracks.

+ Jimmy has taken to wearing peyote and pineapple shorts in the summer and is still trying to rehydrate.


+ Walter has been missing BLT + avocado sandwiches. me too. we call them BLAT's.


+ Jack has bought the biggest camera ever seen and has run out of clean clothes.


+ Edwin is growing a fine beard and has not been called "dwinkle" for months now.


+ i have been losing bits of my voice and watching the world rot itself on CNN.
