I remember my Dad talking about the tailgunner in his B-17. That line just brings back so many images in my mind. Great job Jamey. I hope to write one this great some day!

I love this song. I think one of the things i like most is the grandpa the same age as mine. But its just a great song anyways. I just have one question, I can't find it to download or buy the single anywhere, and I wanna have this song for sure in my car. anyone know where I can find the single, or if it's even out yet?

i lost my grandfather 2 and half years ago... my mom mom and pop pop watched me every day till i was 13 because my parents were always working. He was from the appalacians and grew up with his 9 brothers and sisters in a coal mining family... he served in the airforce for 23 years and was married to my mom mom for 50. Anyways... the things you talk about in this song remind me of his spirit not his death and how sometimes i do forget the things he taught me and how brave he was to have face so much.

Wow!!!

This song reminds me of my great-grandpa. He died about 3 years ago two days before my birthday! And one of the last things we were talking about is what it was like to live back when he was growing up. He showed me a picture and said "You can't tell what they cover up". And this song reminds me of him. And I want you to know that this is one of the best songs I've ever heard!

Me and my brother was fishin one day(after his wreck that had broken his neck) and he was tellin bout the song .I hadnt heard it at that point, but I went home and found it and listened to it and it made me realize that he was thinkin bout what he had done to have his wreck and it was his way of sayin that he was ready for a change of life! Love the song and hope my brother does straighten out! Keep up thegood songs ! Mabey Ill get to meet you one day. U sound a lot like me (The way your life hs been and is)

Wow. When I heard this song for the first time it put me back to my grandmother and grandfather and old pictures I have seen about their life story.

You really struck my heart with this song Jamey.

I love your voice!
