Over the course of the past 2 weeks we have witnessed more than a crisis unfolding in the Middle East. We have seen the beginning of a Revolution. Not a Revolution as in a popular uprising against leaders who claim to be related to a holy man written about in a gospel 1500 years ago. Not a Revolution where the corporate system that controls these nations is overthrown and the natural resources are put to generate wealth, technological, agricultural and medical advancements for a people that live in squalor. This is a different type of Revolution. Not a Revolution where the people question the legitimacy of their kings and princes who are educated in the West and only know their own country through the manufactured blind eyes of a young Siddhartha. Truthfully though the innocence characterized in Buddha's early view of the world cannot be attributed to those that turn a blind eye, those design war and those that hide its true nature to the public. The type of people that will stall for peace and a ceasefire to give the Israeli Army time to bomb more of Lebanons infrastructure creating more civilian death that includes children which are considered collateral damage. Collateral damage, thats an interesting way of putting it, I wonder if people would ever refer to the individuals killed in the Pentagon on 9/11 as collateral damage since there were non military personal also. What about those who died horribly as their world crumbled around them in the melting and exploding towers? Should they be in anyway held responsible for the actions of their government, whether or not the cause of the terrorist act was a reprisal or a preemptive strike upon our sovereign land?

Discussing Middle Eastern policy is never easy. Everyone has a bias of their own. While we always hear about the bias and hatred of Arabs towards Jews I have very rarely in my life seen anything that would allude to the hate that some Israelis have for Arabs. I have never heard of Racism in Israel on FOX news or on MSNBC. I guess its just the magical holy land where people dont think like that. As if no one has ever died there for having a difference race or religion. Even when we discuss Israel and bring up things like the Balfour declaration and the fact that Jews almost had their homeland in many places including Argentina instead of Palestine it creates a division. I find people that firmly believe in Democracy, in Revolution against the system, that believe in the sad reality that this government lies to us and proliferates war for profit are torn. I see journalists who are fed up with the Bush regime rally behind Israel under pressure from their bosses or their own personal heritage. I see Democrats in the Congress and Senate as the biggest supporters of Israel in a war that was started by an incursion into what is now their territory. While Hezbollah has built hospitals and schools, fed a starving population, and have done some good in the community to gain political support their military wing has continued often at odds with the government to fight without the support of the Lebanese Army against what it and many other people see as an illegitimate Israeli government in Palestine. Their incursion and attack in defense of Palestine can be condemned by the international community but not used as the rationale behind the destruction of an entire nation.

The other day I turned on the TV and saw Hillary Clinton looking desperate as ever to claw worms of unlikely political support out of the deep earth. She made the statement in front of the UN that Israels values were the values of America. I thought about that for a moment, and being a student of history I turned the pages back to how they both were the bastard children of the British Empire, conceived by white people in Europe while the land was still populated with the indigenous people. How they had conquered the land and the natural resources that they reign over now by using The Word of God. How they displaced people and uprooted homes to make room for more people that looked like them from far away. I though about how they both imported Blacks to work for them and then to fight for them, (Ethiopian Jews.) Didn't they both supported Apartheid firmly? And even when it became unpopular to do so overtly they did with their corporations. Haven't they both always portrayed themselves as tortured fighters, survivors in a land where people did not want them? As if they somehow belonged there even though there was civilization there since before they came into existence as a people or a religion. And sadly enough there has never been anything but arrogance instead of atonement for the Palestinians and Native Americans who once lived on that land, instead we just hear lies about their lack of existence and stories past through generations about their savagery.

Please do not mistake my questions and contemplation for some radical hatred. I know many people suffering on both sides of this conflict. It is sad when a person cannot question Israel's domestic and foreign policy without being called Anti Semitic. After all I think that a white American can have issues with illegal immigration, with gang violence and job placement without hating Latinos, Africans and Asian people. And if that is possible, then why is it impossible for me to question a government that has a history of violence whether its on the receiving end or if it is the bringer of such. I have no superficial or condescending sympathy for the genocide and discrimination that Jewish have been forced to endure. But rather I have true empathy and understanding for their struggle to survive in a world of persecution, genetically recessive traits, and where people are more than ever turning away from conventional forms of Judeo-Christian religion. You see my people, through out Latin America and Africa had a Holocaust and our people date back to before Biblical times as well. We see the evidence of the African holocaust in the history of America and every time we pass a black man in the street who doesnt know where his last name came from. And since Black and White people werent married when they were slaves but rather women were raped, when a Black person has a generational history of being light skinned we see the failed attempt at ethnic cleansing. But I humbly beg that you all remember that we were not beaten by the military might of the white race, we were beaten an enslaved through deceit, disease and trickery. I always say it with conviction because it is conveniently never spoken of, the greatest lie told of our people is that we came quietly, that we accepted slavery that we did not fight it until the bitter end with all of our heart and soul.

And what about the Mayan people of Central America (El Salvador, Southern Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Belize) lived through what they described as 4 Apocalypses. They had the recorded the history of their people on Codexs (similar to Egyptian Papyrus), for well over a thousand years. Until the Spaniards, deeming it blasphemy burned it in the 1500s. They burned their detailed history that supposedly included stories of great earthquakes, floods, meteor showers, creatures that are now extinct and man like visitors from the stars. Not that I necessarily subscribe to any of these things mentioned but it would have been an interesting read at least and at best a window into a world before our culture was destroyed and replaced with Catholicism. The history of a people is important and without it the people find themselves confused and searching for an identity with such longing that they will beg for acceptance. They are willing to suffer humiliating indignities just to gain the right to pledge allegiance and die for a country that has with only a handful of debatable exceptions never fought for a cause that directly benefited them. (For every instance you can bring up where America has taken on the white mans burden to help free Black and Latino people I can have an ace of real reasons for their involvement that trump that familiar soap opera good guy character they play on TV.) That said, I can point to the fact that during the first 100 years of the colonization of in South America an estimated 120 million people died of war, disease, famine and a variety of unnatural causes directly related to the invasion. European scholars and apologists make this number, much lower, somewhere around 60 or 80 million But even so, take the average 100 million people over the course of 100 years. 1 million people a year for a hundred years. We know what a holocaust is, and anyone who denies that claim is either not a student of history or a convenient liar. For the next 500 years our nations would live under European and American rule a nation of Native and African peoples ruled by White Latinos who spoke our language but have always looked down upon us. We were experiencing what Black people in the South did in the 50s and 60s in South and Central America in the 70s and 80s with the CIA sponsored coups and the disappearing of thousands of Revolutionary students.

You know I talk a lot about history and bring up White peoples role in it and some white people get offended. If you think Im preaching hate its because you hate what Im preaching, this is historical fact, and I will not change history to make someone feel better about the legacy of their people. At the same time I dont speak these words with hatred, because I have met many white people in my travels that are more Revolutionary than the majority of Black and Brown people, men and women who are willing to fight and die for this cause of exposing a society that hides its classism by altering history and creating more racism.

I see it as a clear indication of how primitive our society is that we are in the year 2006 arguing over someones right to exist. Thats like arguing over a womans right to not be raped. White people are never going to leave America, even though they are not indigenous to the land they stole, they are not all going to pack up and go back to where they came from. And by the same token, the majority of Israelis who are Eastern European and Russian Jews and maybe not the original Hebrews, are not going to take their belongings and return to the misery of the places they left. No matter what we say now and forever thats just not going to happen. Once people who question Israels existence accept that and move on, they will find a reality on the other side that will liberate the method in which they may empower their own people economically and spiritually and create a homeland for themselves that does not monetarily support the people who oppress them. I do believe in Israels right to exist peacefully and if that can be true for them then all the more reason for the Palestinian State to exist, being in full control over its land in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. I believe that a people who have been written out of history by several conquerors and who have been the victims of an occupation are due to receive the recognition and empowerment so that they can organize their own lives. People look at Palestine as some small terrorist state, as if they are not fighting for their own very survival as well. Keep in mind this is a government that whether the US likes it or not elected its own leadership. Which should be incredibly embarrassing for the US media as well as the State Department, this Administration and its puppet Emperor who talks about building democracy in The Middle East. And who are its allies besides Israel? The King of Jordan, The King of Saudi Arabia, The Kings and Princes of Kuwait, UAE, and the cheerful military dictatorship of Pakistan. These are a collective coalition of totalitarian regimes who have a pass for their actions in the Western media because of their strategic US Military bases and ties to our corporate economy. Even though they themselves have horrible human rights records that include election fraud, summary execution, torture and in many instances treating their women worse than the portrayal of the Taliban.

Some might ask ourselves how we got here, but let us not forget that the Arab people are a conquered people as well who have had their contributions to the world seemingly written out of history. For example when we open books about Science and Math we just see white faces and European names and but some of the very foundation of Mathematics, Algorithms and Algebra (Al-habra: The Solving of Problems by Reduction.) belong to the proud people of that region. If you read the history of Arabic influence over the creation of the Math which is the building block of all of our technology it shows that they opened a dimension of equations that had was beyond the understanding of the glorified Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. It is sad to see that many are spoon fed versions of Islam by a group of ruling elite who see the ignorance of the poor as a political tool to use for their own personal discretion. (More Classism people) The Sunni, Shiite conflict for example originates in the early struggle of who was deemed fit to take control of Islam and be the successor, the decedents of the Prophet Mohammed or simply his devoted followers. From the moment that the Prophet died, (peace be unto him) this argument was never about the purity of Islam or sanctity of religion, this was about a struggle for power. Proof of this is seen in the fact that the Caliphs fought and killed each other the way the Kings of Judea did and the Popes of the post Roman era did all done to slaughter their competition. Because belief is power, and religion is the window through which people see the world without ever looking outside for themselves

RememberTruth is subjective, but honesty is not.

I can understand a people wish to defend themselves and launching a retaliatory strike at someone who incurred into their border is something that you MUST forget your bias on either side and accept as a reality any of us would undertake. But something you have to look beyond your race, religion and political allegiance, is the difference in between a retaliatory strike and destroying the infrastructure of an entire nation. There are some despicable people that live in America whom we give a voice to with Freedom of Speech, they have strong ties to the Republican Party and the Right Wing of this government. They are violent and blatantly racist, they are religious fundamentalists who believe that a woman doesnt have the right to have an abortion even if shes raped or is the victim of incest. If they were to go to another country, (which they do in a way with the sponsoring of Eugenics programs in Africa and Asia promoting sterilization) and launch a military strike. We would understand having to have to address that in our own society. We would have to deal with the consequences of their misguided nature and although we can try to explain their actions in our wish to bring light to all the injustices of other people it doesnt do anything but cloud the argument. There would be no justification though seen by America for that foreign nation to attack our sovereign land, to bomb our nations capital, to bomb our hydro electric plants and emergency channels of communication. To continuously massacre our people with weapons that we have no defense for in response to the actions of those few would be deemed inhumane by us. To bomb power stations, banks (while some have ties to Hezbollah, some have never been proved to have any links), bomb television and radio networks that call for the evacuation of the people and to not allow the UN to administer aid to a part of the region that has been the most affected. I can recall too many times when I have seen the Israeli government not allow UN inspectors in once they have bulldozed or bombed installations. There is logic in defending oneself but the massively disproportionate civilian death indicates a flaw in that logic. Because if the response is an over extended counter measure that shows the force of an able bodied and well armed IDF an obvious means of intimidation being deterrent to future attacks. Then what will be of the future after such a statement is made? When the next generation whose seeds of hatred are being planted and watered as we speak come to grow, how will you speak to them of adopting peace?

As you read this now American made Israeli jets bomb from 20,000 ft in the sky down upon their selected areas and while they claim to only target military structures there is a collective punishment of the people that are being attacked. When you destroy someones home, their schools, bridges, and kill families, you are not fighting terrorism anymore, but you have become the very force of human nature that you condemn. When you mark numbers and letters on refugees arms (as has been done in the past) in the prison camps they are kept in, you are repeating a cycle of hatred that was once imposed upon you. A Revolution I told you before is not always a positive thing, it is sometimes a blood war, a cycle with no purpose but to enrich people and distract the masses from a larger power struggle. In this instance we find a Revolution, by that definition, the coming full circle of and the continuation of a corrupted movement. Meaning that in 10 or 15 years from now some child from Palestine or Lebanon will board some bus in Israel and it will explode, or there will be a bomb somewhere in a civilian area such as there was one dropped this evening in Beirut. America and its allies will look at that as an act of terror. A completely unexplainable violent outburst that is in no way of course related to the occupation or what happened those years earlier when his or her family was killed and whatever future they had was simply destroyed and their justifiable anger with no outlet quickly soured. Only this time all the parties will be forced to drink from the poisoned well of hatred that has festered. I will pray for peace tonight, for the Children of Palestine, of Lebanon and the innocent Israelis that are searching for peace. These children that are the innocent victims of politicians and the statements they so often make with other peoples lives rather than their own. The United States claims to be holding out for a lasting peace, continuing to hurl more accusations at Iran and Syria, while neglecting the political ground they are losing. They are fully aware of this though, for this war is not being fought to be won but to be exploited and prolonged to the benefit of the beast. There are dead children burning in the streets of Lebanon, you need no further proof of a new world order other than this is allowed to happen, and that some of you are so oversaturated with propaganda that you try to find excuses for it.

I wrote this quickly and in the hopes that someone else out there will look into the history of the region that I didnt go into as much detail as I would have liked to. Please go and educated yourself about the past, and look at both sides of the conflict instead of just listening to biased relatives or a news media controlled by a vested interest.

Education and the significance of Life, Jiddu Krishnamurti, (p. 66-68)

Intelligence is not separate from love ...

Modern education, in developing the intellect, offers more and more theories and facts, without bringing about the understanding of the total process of human existence. We are highly intellectual; we have developed cunning minds, and are caught up in explanations. The intellect is satisfied with theories and explanations, but intelligence is not; and for the understanding of the total process of existence, there must be an integration of the mind and heart in action. Intelligence is not separate from love.

For most of us, to accomplish this inward revolution is extremely arduous. We know how to meditate, how to play the piano, how to write, but we have no knowledge of the meditator, the player, the writer. We are not creators, for we have filled our hearts and minds with knowledge, information and arrogance; we are full of quotations from what others have thought or said. But experiencing comes first, not the way of experiencing. There must be love before there can be the expression of love.
(p. 64, 65)
...
Information, the knowledge of facts, though ever increasing, is by its very nature limited. Wisdom is infinite, it includes knowledge and the way of action; but we take hold of a branch and think it is the whole tree. Through the knowledge of the part, we can never realize the joy of the whole. Intellect can never lead to the whole, for it is only a segment, a part.

We have separated intellect from feeling, and have developed intellect at the expanse of feeling. We are like a three-legged object with one leg much longer than the others, and we have no balance. We are trained to be intellectual; our education cultivates the intellect to be sharp, cunning, acquisitive, and so it plays the most important rôle in our life. Intelligence is much greater than intellect, for it is the integration of reason and love; but there can be intelligence only when there is self-knowledge, the deep understanding of the total process of oneself.

What is essential for man, whether young or old, is to live fully, integrally, and that is why our major problem is the cultivation of that intelligence which brings integration. Undue emphasis on any part of our total make-up gives a partial and therefore distorted view of life, and it is this distortion which is causing most of our difficulties. Any partial development of our whole temperament is bound to be disastrous both for ourselves and for society, and so it is really very important that we approach our human problems with an integrated point of view.

To be an integrated human being is to understand the entire process of one's own consciousness, both the hidden and the open. This is not possible if we give due emphasis to the intellect. We attach great importance to the cultivation of the mind, but inwardly we are insufficient, poor and confused. This living in the intellect is the way of disintegration; for ideas, like beliefs, can never bring people together except in conflicting groups.

As long as we depend on thought as a means of integration, there must be disintegration; and to understand the disintegrating action of thought is to be aware of the ways of the self, the ways of one's own desire. We must be aware of our conditioning and its responses, both collective and personal. It is only when one is fully aware of the activities of the self with its contradictory desires and pursuits, its hopes and fears, that there is a possibility of going beyond the self.

Only love and right thinking will bring about true revolution, the revolution within ourselves. But how are we to have love? Not through the pursuit of the ideal of love, but only when there is no hatred, when there is no greed, when the sense of self, which is the cause of antagonism, comes to an end. A man who is caught up in the pursuits of exploitation, of greed, of envy, can never love.

Without love and right thinking, oppression and cruelty will ever be on the increase. The problem of man's antagonism to man can be solved, not by pursuing the ideal of peace, but by understanding the causes of war which lie in our attitude towards life, towards our fellow-beings; and this understanding can come about only through the right kind of education. Without a change of heart, without goodwill, without the inward transformation which is born of self-awareness, there can be no peace, no happiness for men.

You're absolutely correct about whats going on in the Middle East. The American people really do need to stop being fooled by its own vulnerability of the U.S. Government. Situations and conflict between many war torn countries stem from a history of violence and hatred towards the opposition. The current conflicts in the world today tells me that another possible World War might jump off and a whole portion of that war will be fought on racist U.S. soil. I personally feel that the U.S. is being tricked into getting involved with peace talks between Israel & The Hezbollah. I guess we'll only see the outcome when it comes. My biggest thought everyday is, "If the American people were under attack and forced into combat or survival mode, how many Americans would actually be ready for that kind of war? Ask yourself, I wrote a song about it. PEACE TECHNIQUE!

i ask myself the same thing all the time. what if all of a sudden this "great american dream" fasad were just to break down, what would the masses do? maybe they would kill themselves off in turmoil, confuesion, and chaos. well put, well put.

Just a few things to add to this important post by Immortal Technique

Very interesting how manipulation of peoples can be as covert as stealing a peoples history and with it, a peoples pride. Self education is the only way. But an unbiased mind to interpret through the research already tainted by subliminal programming is the key to seeing the world as it is. Many historians of great note are unwilling to accept that thier world view is bias. Let me give a very good example that I have been personally researching - Ancient African civilisations. As has already been proven in the war room peoples views of the acomplishments and contribution of ancient African civilisations are indeed very poor. Even today archeologists and historians continue to build upon views of Africa using ground work by people whos viewed Africans as inferior and incapable and these views continue to be distributed through the education system insuring thier suvival in the next generation. I have never found a subject were so many intelligent people are so willing to fight so hard to ridicule and rule out possibilities that Nubian Africans played a vital role in the creation of ancient Egypt and religions as we know them

Why is this important?? The answer to that question is simple. Imagine the empowerment knowing that your people are decendants of Pharoahs and not savages who where civilised through slavery.

Dont let yourself (However intelligent you are) become someone whose ideas on Ancient civilizations and history have been arrived at by ideas and 'evidence' based on in part, ground work undertaken by people with a firm belief in the inferiority of the African. The refusal to entertain the idea that African Oral History is relevant, that Africans were (Or at least played a major role) in the creation of Egypt and therefore religion, chemistry, astronomy etc is (considering the huge amounts of evidence) ludacris.

It is well documented that there where black Pharaohs (Although western culture places then from a much later time period then Egypts conception). At the time that Ethiopians where being used as slaves Egypt had been around a very long time and had mixed with many other races and cultures through trade. There is very compelling evidence to strongly suggest that Egyptians where Black Africans to begin with. I hold strong to this and we can debate it in another thread later. The Bible states that the Egyptians being the sons of Ham and therefore descendants of Noah where Black (as was he). This is backed up by Greek Mythology. I am not religious but understand religious texts as historical texts with bias. You are posting views that has been regurgitated to you by a system that is intrinsically racist. Open your mind to other possibilities

End the persecution

I love to read your blogs, and it easy to hear in your text that you know of what you speak of, you are well educated in history and those that do not learn from it is doomed to repeat is, isnt it so?. You speak about my skin collored people being offended by your talk about white peoples actions threw history, it is just the truth there is nothing to be offended if you are not yourself responsible for this. Though i do feel ashamed of the white people that over history present and the future still is engineering tricking and decieving for personal greed and power. But they are not more brothers to me then any blacks, asian native american whatever. We are bound together threw our souls not our skin.

The middle east conflict is a hard one, to speak about the conflicts you have to be well educated in their history as there are so many twists and turns threw the years. So i will not even go into that.

Though i think that what we see today is about a much more modern conflict then their (israel lebanon etc) grudges against each other threw hundreds of years.. As reported in some media Israel had plans to attack lebanon a year ago, as United states had plans to attack Iran before they went into Iraq, and before that Iraq before they went into Afghanistan. This is their next step in their global agenda, and eventually this will end up in a full conflict between lebanon, syria , israel, United states and ofcourse the biggest target Iran. Threw the media we are fooled that the kidnappings should be the reason for the more or less invasion of lebanon. Even though kidnappings have happend many time before and often solved with a exchange between israels thousands of lebanese prisoners and their soldiers. And even though hezbollah have made threats months before that they will kidnap soldiers. Israel acts like it was a chock. Like US when the planes hit the towers: " oh we had no idea!"

They are prepared to sacrifice their soldiers , the lebanese people, their own israel people and the palestine people as well , i think that showes the mentality of theese people, and definitely that the kidnaped soldiers is not the issue.

This will escalate until there is more or less a third world war, and people will forget what the reason was that started it all. They have already thrown acusation against Iran saying they are funding hezbollah and supplying them with weapons. Wich a spokesman from hezbollah answers by saying: -"we get some funding but most from the lebanese people the guns we ofcourse buy from the market theres lots of guns to buy". They are over and over trying swift this to Iran and iam sure U.S soldiers are being prepared to invade Iran as soon as they get the green light, conflict just have to get a bit worse and the U.S are experts to make conflicts get worse. They will probably dress up in enemy uniforms as they seem to have a fetish about doing that.

(Uk sources confirm the war in Iran is on: http://www.opednews.com/articles/genera_nafeez_m_060723_uk_govt_sources_conf.htm)

If they would want to end this conflict wich is going to change the world order in the middle east and ofcourse our daily lives in the western world.. All they have to do is to learn what the white people in south africa learned, To treat people with respect. Being a monstrious creates a monster. but seriously that wont happen.

peace and love.

ps, dont forget the palestine people! they are suffering even though they get no attention from the media.

Good read, thanks Technique.
I was wondering the other day if you would comment on it and here you are. :-)
Personally I don't know what to think. The history of this conflict is very complex and I'm not able to judge this situation now properly, but I definitely try to educate myself and search for good books (like you said readreadread :-) ).

Keep doing your thing!
Much love and respect from Germany
Yours sincerely

P.S. Drop the Middle Passage man!!! :-)

Very informative, it actually made me cry but Im a very emotional person anyway.

One thing i would like to add is that i think an emphasis on woman, as well as children, as innocent victims is important because it is mainly men who are the perpetrators of war and brutality.

For the past few days I've been reading and writing a lot about this war, wars, politics & conflict in general. I'm gonna post a blog, but i'm glad i read this 1st so i have as much info as possible, also i appreciate the fact that other people read, think so deeply about vital issues and spread knowledge. Thank you.

Immortal Technique, and Whomever may read this.......

I must say that I strongly agree with the point(s) you are making. Some of us turn a deaf ear and cheek and pretend that it is not our problem to begin with. Whilst others "join-in" with the band-wagon and continue to spread this "infectious" message, if you will. I do not understand these problems that OUR world and I mean OUR world in the sense that there should be no fighting over land, that merciless killings are ended, and WE HUMANS, as the Constituion once stated, ARE ALL CREATED EQUAL. This entire entity we hold as the planet Earth, belongs to everyone but at the very same time noone, because it truly belongs to the same "thing" that created dinosaurs, and the big-bang. I cannot comprehend why human beings insist on running over everything in their path(s) and eating the population away from within itself. Life is too short and precious to fight over land that "once belonged" to someone else. I feel that every person on this earth should be sat down, at the same time (so to speak) just like during New Year's Eve when most of the world celebrates and another year, and We should all sign an agreement for peace, for the end to unjust wars (isn't that some what of the reason the UN was initiated?), for the end to slavery that continues in some countries, and held to this agreement and more reasons and if thou is found guilty of breaking one of these agreements or "rules" then you shall be put to death. I also feel a strong resentment towards our so called "DEMOCRACY" and the constant "sticking our nose" in the rest of the worlds business. When did W.W. 1 and W.W. 2 ever benefit us (in terms of gaining anything ABSOLUTE)? NEVER! This country should stop worrying about other countries and try to take care of our own problems here at home. Such as, the ever-increasing, never going to stop NATIONAL debt (which is continually fueled by more unnecessary wars and money being shelled out), homeless people, AIDS, abortion matters, unfit presidents; that are in reality no better than the criminals (mostly innocent by some standards) they (government) lock away in a cage forever. This country (IN MY OPINION-lord knows how much heat I might get from someone who disagrees) is about as far from Democracy as far as the the Titanic sits from the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. Our country has pulled the wool over the eyes of it's people for years, We in all honest and compare and contrast to some of the "dictatorships" that We so greatly hate with passion, are no better and this country is in fact a tyrannical dictatorship! Supposed to be a government run BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE! Not one person eleceted through some "college" so-to-speak and not by the meaningless "votes" that each of us casts each election. Our votes may seem to matter but in reality all million or so votes from the civilian side of our humanity turns out in reference to the electoral college as to only represent one or maybe half or a tenth of the final say so. If this country was truly a democracy..there'd be no same-sex battles or abortion battles or any problem for that matter because it would all be balanced with the thought or notion that we all are equal and that through compromise an end agreement would be reached. As for the term "terrorism" or "terrorists" - This country needs to stop pointing fingers at some entities or persons that may not even truly exist, and realize that when We go into Iraq or Kuwait or any other unindustrialized,3rd-world country and blow it up or take hostages for un-announced reasons or false charges...We are being the terrorists that We have come to so greatly hate! It is just like the boy who sits with a magnifying glass burning insects and then when something horrible or tragic happens to them, they ask "Why, why god, what I have I done? I am good person!" I believe KARMA is a real thing and that whatever you do unto someone else or yourself will return upon you, good or bad! I could go on for days and years and type till the internet suddenly imploded but I won't.....WE AS A PEOPLE (meaning all of humanity) seeing as how we all have blood that flows through our veins and arteries over and over again, hair, nails, teeth, bones, etc. - A collection of one organism sustaining istelf on Earth, WE AS A PEOPLE need to come together, to lift hands not in gang signs but together like the million man march and other demonstrations or protests, and spread this meesage that the hatred that each country has for another, the terroristic acts spread through hatred, the suicide bombings of people MUST END! If this is not accomplished somehow, some way then I see the human race, and very existence being flushed completely down the "HIGHER-BEING(S)" great toilet of life and written off as a mistake, only to be replaced with something greater and with more common sense and respect for the creators, the foundation that supports life and of course each other. I extremely agree that people should not solely rely in the media, it's very fustrating. Personally I like to find out by the actual people who are living it out there in those cities, and now with the internet the opportunities are endless. Question everything!! (I am not claiming i understand this whole situation, i dont believe thats even possible)

Israel knows that this is the only way it can exist... If I have to justify a top of the line security system, how do i do that? By having a tangible threat that is always there...

That way i have an excuse and a "right" to use this system and any other force to keep my family safe...

This is what is happening and will continue to happen, when things get a little quite and all seems well, their has to be proof that there is a threat...

2 captured soldiers doesnt mean you tear a whole nation into pieces, UNLESS thats what you wanted to do in the first place...

By striking up conflict and then bringing Syria and Iran into the fold, you now have all the "non alley" nations lined up and ready for destruction, an excuse to do whatever they want in the entire region...

The Palestinians living as refugees in their own nation have no rights and thats how Israel would like to keep it...

How do we stop all this, a few impossible solutions...

Solution 1: Israel gives up land it stole and makes a 2 state solution...
(Not going to happen because neither side wants to give up anything)

Solution 2: Israel makes the Palestinians within Israel citizens and gives them equal rights
(Not going to happen because they are a minority ruling over the majority, giving Palestinians the rights is like handing over the whole government, because in a matter of a few years they will vote more and more Palestinians into government and eventually take over)

Solution 3: Arabs shut up and learn to live in concentration camps like good animals...
(Not going to happen because thats just in-human and NOBODY would put up with that)

So this struggle will rage on, their are too many Arabs for the Israelis to kill off and the Israelis are too powerful a military force and to organized a social infrastructure to just wipe out...

I know this is a little all over the place but thats how this situation is... (and my brain)

I have family in Syria and Lebanon, so this affects me DIRECTLY but it hurts on a purely human level, not even nationalistically

I want peace and I dont hate the innocent Israeli people, the death of ANY innocent human is a horrible thing, be it Israeli or Palestinian or Lebanese or black or white

this kind of violence and indiscriminant destruction tears the fiber of humanity

WHAT CAN WE DO? I honestly dont know what the real solution is or if any of us can actually DO anything

All I do say is this, that we must read and educate ourselves with all sides of the story, not just what you see on the mass media machine

An interesting link my father (a former diplomat and United Nations translator) put me on to: Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions

I want to thank Technique for putting this up and opening this as a forum for all to speak their mind about this subject, much respect Keep doing your thing brother

ALL I PRAY FOR

peace

I love this, you just "get it." These are all the reasons I am so intruiged by history - so we can learn the truth and not be trapped by a government who is after us for our money in order to gain power and alter the world the way they would like it, while paying no attention and giving no respect to the people who deserve it the most. I hope with voices like this we will be heard and together some of us can change the world and resurrect a few buried values.

Keep doing what you do, and more. I'm a fan

I don't want anybody to take this wrongly, but in a very sad way, a World War III would help humanity realize we were all so much better off in the old days. Before technological advances and satellite mapping, before cloning, nanotechnology, and AI. It's like Albert Einstein said, the fourth World War will be fought with sticks and stones. I'm not condoning any wartime efforts on either the US or Israel's parts, but I am saying that if this escalates, it could be a global reminder to the hideous faces of greed and hate, faces that have become trusted next-door neighbors for everyone here in the US and in the Middle East.

I think having something that scary would shock us into realizing that WE ARE ALL HUMANS, and we all need to co-exist PEACEFULLY. The minor differences are meaningless, and taking another's life because their beliefs are different from yours is completely asinine. Please, all of you who read this, read on. Like Tech said, read read read. That's only half of it - educate yourselves, learn as much as you possibly can, but then take a stand.

Write your politicians, senators, and even the President. Write as many letters as you can. If you have friends or family in the Middle East, encourage them to do the same. Let's make history by being a people that will act independently of our Government, run by leaders with their own agenda, regardless of the barbaric loss of human life. Every life is precious, even the lives of your killers.

wise discussion of the larger picture. yours is a voice that is everything fox news claims to be, but isn't. i hope you don't mind if i repost this to spread the insight as far as possible. one curious fact i found out a while ago is that israel was not supposed to be recognized as a full member of the u.n. until they resolved their issues with the palestinians and withdrew completely from the west bank and gaza. their right to exist as a people and a nation cannot be denied, but their voice on the world stage should be reconsidered.

A few thing triggered by what everyone is saying.
When Zionist came to Palestine, Palestinians didn't get pissed off becomes they simply came, moved next door, and lived peacefully. Palestinians got scared our of their home (if they didn't get killed). People heard about the rape and slaughter in Sabra and Shatila and were SCARED. They left their houses with the full intention of coming back when the killings stopped and it was more safe.
In 1948 the UN passed Resolution 194, which stated:
The refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date.
The first UN mediator, Count Folke Bernadotte, said that homes and villages had been destroyed without apparent military necessity.
Needless to say their right to return was refused and people even argue that the resolution was just a suggestion.

Word up, I love it when Tech drops knowledge for all the heads. Every word of what you said was true and relevant to whats been going on in the middle east for decades. The Palestinians have been stigmatized as a terrorist harboring nation and Israel always seems to receive sympathy from the media despite their ruthless tactics. I find it hard to believe that Isarel would invade Lebanon seeking out Hezbollah over a few abducted soldiers. I believe that back in 2000 a few Israelei soldiers were kidnapped and murdered because the government didn't want to negotiate the release of several Palestinian war prisioners, but Israel didn't seek out Hezbollah back then. It makes you think. The media paints a portrait of these people as being terrorist because of their violent tactics (suicide bombs) however, these people are poor and unable utilize the tools that economically superior nations have avaliable to them (planes, tanks, larger military, support from other nations). I mean lets be realistic, is bombing bridges, schools, hospitals, radio stations and killing civilains worth the lives of few soldiers who might already be dead? It wasn't worth it back in 2000 or when people were getting abducted and decapitated by tilaban, who also offered negotiations for the release of their hostages. Perhaps, Israel has been planning to attack Lebanon for quite some time and just didn't have a good enough excuse. I not anti-semitic either. Semitism means "policy or predisposition favorable to Jews" or "favortism towards the Jewish". I'm not against any of this. I do believe that turning a blind eye to these people and allowing them to commit crimes with impunity is wrong. "I don't see the difference inbetween the wrong and the wrong" - Leaving the Past - Immortal Technique

I'm going to have to hit up the library and wikipedia and research this for a while.

While Israel's actions appear to be unequivocal to their experience on face, that is not actually the case. Imagine you are a member of the Israeli government, how do you fight a terrorist organization? I don't advocate victimizing civilians, however i don't see another option for Ohmed's government. Israel has been unilaterally withdrawing and supporting peace without any cooperation from Hamas. Prior to the soldiers kidnapping, the situation in the middle east was more optimistic than it has been in decades to due the new coalition government in Israel. Since Arafat rejected the peace accords in the nineties, there has been a dearth of palestinian action to find peace. In a certain sense, israelites are invaders in a land that is not their own, but you're right they're not going anywhere and the continued terrorist attacks of palestinian organizations refuse to recognize that reality. It appears unecessarily violent to commit harsh military strikes, but when the civilian toll is compared to the tolls over years of israeli citizens from terrorist actions, the difference is no longer staggeringly unbalanced. As a country stranded in a region surrounded by enemies and without geographically convenient allies, they are forced to respond with strong military action for their own preservation. It's important to remember that while israel is attacking lebanon it has not stopped its withdrawal from the gaza strip.
p.s. a great book on the history of the middle east conflict is Middle East Illusion by Noam Chomsky.

Danial Preddicted:

The fall of Roam

World War 1, 2

Cold War

He also preddicted a few others which i dont know of the top of my head, but what i do know is that he preddicts one more before ''Armageddon''. A South Kingdom (America and England), will war a North Kingdom (Soon to Rise, but i think more and more everyday that it will be the middle east, probaly not including Armenia).

Danial said that one day (either before or during WW3) suddenly, out of the blue someone will ban religion. Later, he will relize that me made a HUGE mistake. The war will neither North or South win, neither king or dictator will fall in the others hand, but god will kill them both, and both their kingdoms. Since where in a Hurricain Season, and it'll be a nuclear war, he might have talked about a Natrual Distater whipeing most of tha world clean.

Here are some of the signs that Danial said will happen before WW3

Alot of Diseases and Sicknesses

People will love money more than anything

Alot of drugs

Starven children

Etc.

This was of tha top of my head but when i read his prophecy i couldnt belive that shit. Since it was written long before airplanes, and everything makes sense, with no doubt about it. Read it, it'll give you some more truth to rap about.

Peace.

I'm a Sikh-American and thought I'd shed some light on the Indian government's sponsored massacre of thousands of Sikhs in 1984. (for more info on Sikhism: www.sikhnet.com).

One of the most horrific attack on the Sikhs was only 20 years ago. When the Temple of God, Sri Harmandar Sahib was attacked and the Seat of Temporal Authority, Akaal Takhat was demolished. Sikhs will never be able to forget how the Indian Government led by Indira Gandhi laid siege to the most Famous of Sikh Temples. In a feeble attempt to wipe out the Sikh Nation with the excuse to eliminate Militants and Terrorists, Indira Gandhi ordered not the state police, but the countries army, to storm the Golden Temple Complex and other Sikh shrines all over India.

There are many questions that remain unanswered as to why the Indian Government attacked a small minority of their own citizens. The peace keeping Sikhs never stepped out of line and even in 1947 helped in the mighty battle when India was created. What makes it worse is that not a single Member of Parliment has once apologized and made a statement to say that what happened was wrong and was not necessary. As Sikhs we feel cheated, we demand justice and we demand the Very basic Human Rights.

There are some individuals that say the reason behind the attack was because some terrorists were demanding Khalistan, a separate Sikh state. This is a complete lie and a poor attempt to excuse the atrocities. Not once did any Sikh leader demand Khalistan, they simply stated that if Khalistan was given to us we would take it. However, Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale did state that the moment the Indian Army enters the Golden Temple Complex, that will lay the foundation stone for Khalistan.

After the attack Indira Gandhi tried to win back the Sikh Nation and offered to rebuild the desecrated Akaal Takhat. The Sikhs have never been bought and never will be, every time we have been attacked we always restore our Gurdwara's and shrines within the Sikh community. The volunteer effort was started, and approximately 12 years after the attack the Akaal Takhat was fully restored.

On October 31st of 1984, Indira Gandhi was preparing to address the Nation. On her way through her garden she was killed by her two bodyguards, Bhai Beant Singh Ji and Bhai Satwant Singh Ji, they were seeking justice after she attacked the most sacred of places. After this event Delhi went haywire. Sikhs were killed publicly, innocent women and children were gang raped, beaten, burnt alive and killed then left to rot. Dogs would eat the remains of the Sikh bodies. Where were the police whilst all this was happening?? The police were busy...busy giving Hindu gangs the addresses of Sikh families, pointing out the Sikh shops and assisting the mobs as they dragged Sikh taxi drivers from their vehicles poured kerosene over their bodies, ripped off their sacred Turbans and used them to tie their hands behind their backs and then set them alight.

Are these the actions of the Worlds largest democracy (India)? You decide!

All I ask you to do is a small prayer for the families of the martyrs and innocent people who lost their lives and to Never Forget 1984!!!

This is just a glimpse into the plight of the Sikhs.

Mad respect to Immortal Technique. As someone mentioned earlier, you should write a book---I'd definitely buy it. Patiently waiting for "The Middle Passage" to drop.

I dont have the time to give a response that will do your writing justice but what can i say.. I am lebanese.. my family and friends are all in Lebanon.. I just do not have the ability to think rationally about this injustice. I fucking hear about Israeli's 'disproportionate' response and the usage of my country to serve certain political agendas.. At this point these facts and lack of justification mean nothing to me while my land and my people are still suffering.. once again.. for fuck's sake.. just let this end. The sad thing is that even if this does end, I have lost my faith... in the hope I once had of stability within the Middle East. You said it.. what will become of the future after such statements are made..? How can peace ever be adopted while more and more hatred is being fueled? How can one have faith in humanity? Faith in truth? It simply isn't enough.

Ultimately I have no choice but to attempt to cling onto some sort of vision of a just and peaceful future rather than allowing myself to spiral into a world of dispair.. and just pray that the people of the world will become Immortal Technique.. will think and act as you do. Unfortunately that will never happen and all one can really do is self-educate and educate others.. in the hope that future generations will not make the same mistakes as we seem to be repeating over and over again in numerous forms and disguises.. if I didnt have that vision, what would be the point in living?

I truly wish there were more people like you in the world.. just keep prayin for us, spread the word.. better yet.. help us anyway you can with any resources at ur disposal.. we live in ONE WORLD

With the utmost respect,

So with great pride do the Ethiopian Jews of Israel, properly refered to as "Beta israel" or house of Israel, inhabit their country which by the way, while it was tough assimilating into a new society, they never had to endure racism the way people of African descent did in the U.S. because over 80% of Israelis are not even "white". Jews being white is a misconception that has been popularized by some Ashkenazi(European) jews that live in the U.S. A comparison between native americans and Palestinians is based upon an ignorance of the history of the true Israelites in comparison to their brothers(ethnically even) the Palestinians. Listen Immortal, I strongly resignate with many of your views and the passion with which you convey your sentiments in your songs, it is just important to keep your views grounded in accurate information before they get spread around to people who might look up to you as a deliverer of true knowledge.

Respect

~O

Thanks for writing this. I have been listening to you for a long time and everyday I come to your page and see how your message is beginning to reach more and more people from every walk of life imaginable. I am glad to see that a lot of Americas youth are wising up to what you are saying.

It is unbelievable to me how many Americans are becoming completely desensitized to this war and the catastrophe in the Middle East.

Good entry!

ur statements have truth behind them but it is not truth that is subjective it is the honesty of the person telling the truth that is. and let us not forget that although many radical groups (i'm tired of the word terrorists) may try to better their community, but often alot of them brainwash children to become future soldiers at a young age and breed hatred towards americans. i'll admit part of why they do that is due to the dumbasses (some of which we dont even elect) that are put into office. its ppl like you that take education just one step further and it helps to spark the minds of the future so keep on preaching. oh and by the way to come to miami and say viva fidel is like me, a white boy (more the cross breeding of a cuban and redneck), goin to compton and saying wudup niccuhs! any how share the knowledge and wisdom will grow

Peace

GREAT WORK REVOLUCIONARIO. THE US MEDIA AND AMERICAN EDUCATION SYSTEM PLAYS A BIG ROLE IN KEEPING AMERICANOS FROM KNOWING THE TRUTH. YOU ARE RIGHT INSTEAD OF MOVING FORWARD WE ARE GOING BACKWARDS TO A PRIMITIVE STATE in 2006. IF THIS CONFLIC IN THE MIDDLE EAST STARTS WWIII WHICH I THINK IT ALREADY STARTED AND THE U.S. IMPLEMENTS THE DRAFT THAT'S WHEN AMERICANS ARE GOING TO START OPENING THEIR EYES AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. AND IF WE DON'T DO SHIT ABOUT IT. SOON WE ARE GOING TO BE FIGHTING IN NORTH KOREA, CHINA, AND THE MIDDLE EAST, AND LATINO AMERICA GETTING KILLED LEFT AND RIGHT WITNESSING OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS DIE NEXT TO US, WHILE ALL POLITICIANS AND RICH HIJOS DE PUTA ARE GOING TO BE COUNTING THEIR MONEY IN WHISHINGTON D.C... LETS STOP THIS CAPITALIST SLAVERY AND START UNA REVOLUCION JUST LIKE OUR MUSLIM BROTHERS ARE DOING IT IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND MI GENTE EN VENEZUELA Y BOLIVIA.... EDUCATION IS KEY..
THE LEBANNES PEOPLE ARE NOT ALONE THEY ARE INSPIRING US ALL TO FIGHT THE WAR MACHINE WHAT A BETTER TIME TO START OUR FIGHT THAN RIGHT NOW.

REVOLUCION COMPADRES.........OPEN YOUR EYES CABRONES
