Hey there, Syd readers…this is Jeff typing a blog for the band. Some of you may have met me at previous shows, but this time around Syd has asked me to along to do some tour managing , shoot some video (which you should be seeing in video-blogs soon), and take some photos (which you'll see below).
I'm coming in from an outside perspective here, so bear with me as I detail the insanity that goes into each tour. ..previously only seen from the outside looking in.
Summer is winding down along the east coast, but there are still enough beautiful days left to see us back out on the road for several dates. Yesterday we started out in giant van ..
for the Pennsylvania College of Technology, where a larger-than-normal inflatable slip and slide commanded the side of the stage. There was talk of showdown between band members, but the guitars would get wet. We had great time there and it was good to get the dust off the songs that have been sitting around this summer.
..We're out this time with Zac Clark, who brought a whole new level of 'Rock' to the show and we're all glad to have him share the stage. He's also playing a bevy of his own fantastic songs, and getting his music is highly encouraged.
..
Despite our best efforts to make good time after the show to our Maryland hotel, the state of Delaware and their construction crews decided to shut down the interstate for 45 minutes to hang one of those "spans" that holds the signs. I guess that's when the DOT does that... so a van full of sleepy musicians rolled in about an hour later than we planned to.With very little sleep and a belly full of school-sponsored bbq, we took the stage at Washington College in MD where the day looked as if it were painted on in front of us. We were just a bit off of a river and the clouds rolled by as the tunes were pumped into to the masses of picnickers. It was a quick teardown from there to head over to Club Iota in Arlington, VA. The guys have just finishing up a sound-check there and ready to bring the house down.
..
We hope to see you all out a show soon. Bring your friends, bring the band your positive energy, bring Zac Clark a banana.
