No, I'm serious. Look, if we can't cancel it, can we at least PLEASE finally build that large air conditioned dome around Brisbane and the surrounding areas? We've got two more days to do this in, so I still think it's highly feasible.

My other option is to move into the Gold Class cinemas, though I think BCC may have something to say about that :(

I hope you all realise it's only just over 7 weeks til my 30th? I hope you're getting your outfits ready. Cathy wants me to have a fairy party (to continue the childlike theme I have running from my Winnie the Pooh themed 21st), which I'm all for. Yay for dressing up and looking silly! At least the kids will enjoy it. I'm not bothered about turning 30 though, which apparently makes me odd. Like there needs to be any more reasons for me to be odd :)

never understood the point of worrying about your next birthday myself...worrying ain't going to stop it so you may as well enjoy the experience instead.

we went to an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding a couple of years ago....pretty amazing experience. It came complete with belly dancing ladies...although I have yet to figure out how they fitted in with the theme, but then as my personal theory about Alice is that the whole story is an halucination, the belly dancing ladies may just be an aspect of the halucination...:) either way, it was a good fun night

I don't see any reason to worry about it, either - I much prefer getting older and wiser to the alternative (of getting deader and wiser!). I'll have lots of kids around (hopefully!) at this party, so I might as well indulge myself and have lots of fun with it.

I know someone who also had an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding, though they supplied the hallucination material themselves, along with other sorts of recreational additives, which I guess also fits in with the Wonderland theme :) Not the sort of party I'd have, but it makes for an amusing story :)

I'm not gonna miss Summer if we choose to cancel it this year...  Denise, if you put the motion on the table, I'll vote for it!  We've had a couple of hot days...thats enough, surely...


Happy 30th for 7 weeks time!  Thought I'd get in first!

Can I come to your party?  Is it lame to ask for an invitation?

I think a few hot days is more than enough! I just need to get funding, and I guess, some people to design the dome thing, too...then I'll be able to get it set up!

Thanks! And of course you can come :) It will most likely be at my sister's place, unless I move between now and then. I'm sure if we ask Leoma nicely, she could whip you up a fairy costume ;)
