Hey All -

I am leaving for the airport at 6 am today.. and I haven't finished packing yet!
It feels like I just got off of tour but I'm going to be back out on the road again.. this time in JAPAN !!!! 'Unfold' just came out on Aug. 6th and I'm going out there to visit family as well as to promote the album. This is something I've been waiting a looong time to do and I'm going to do my best to document the trip and keep you all updated !

Also, thanks to all of the wonderful fans and friends in the Philippines, there is a good chance that I may stop by after my trip to Japan. I know that my label out there (Universal) is scrambling to get together all of the necessary tickets, hotels, shows.. etc.. but it's not a guarantee yet ! I am crossing my fingers that it works out though because I've been wanting to visit Manila now for a while! Thank you to all of you who have gone out and bought my CD - it's because of the support you've shown that I might have a chance to come and meet you face to face :)

Okay, back to packing... OH! random side note - I was at the grocery store today picking out some dinner ( I decided on a tomato, buffalo mozzarella, and basil panini) and while I was perusing the aisles, first I heard ' You Raise Me UP' by Josh Groban.. i was pleasantly singing along.. AND THEN.......... "the thing about love.. is i never saw it coming'.. comes blaring over the speakers.
So there I was, checking out granola bars and giddily smiling to myself while 'Say It Again' was playing at the grocery store. kinda fun*

ok. SEE you all across the Ocean !!!!!!!

xoxo

It's funny how i didnt know who u where when u opened up for Gavin Degraw at the Crockadile rock in Allentown, and i didnt quite take u seriously or gave u enough of my attention to realize that u where a respectable musician just as much as Gavin was.... and then i mistaked ur sister for u ( when u came out to meet ppl) and I kind of obliviously ask u for ur autograph b/c of the hype. but now the melody of ur songs ring in my head and when the room is silent i blurt out "Say it again for me...." i get a happy bubblie feelin within and it gives me somethin to sing about again. I work at Dorney Park and when they are blastin Say it again or stupid for u I Gasp and I yell " That's Mary Digdy ...i'm mean Marie Digby!!!" and everyone just looks at me with a blank stare or just ignores me, it makes me think how far u came and the potential that u have ...How far u can go. Now ur music is being played in amusement parks and next week it can be all over the world. I personally am happy for you and i wish u well Marie ..... thank u soo much.....

I was like "OMG, it's Marie Digby!!!" and started dancing...haha...embarrassing...but I didn't care, it was fun ;P

Marie, have a great trip! I hope your fans in the Philipines do get to see you. If not now, I'm sure they will eventually.

That's cool about hearing "Say it Again" in the store. Next time, drop your groceries, spread your arms like a star, and start loudly singing along! lol (Ok, maybe not, but it would be funny in a movie, or if you knew everyone in the store).

Have a great trip! I am so happy about how your career is taking off.

That had to be such an awesome feeling hearing your song while you were in the store! That happened to me in Wal-Mart...well, hearing "Say It Again" I mean. If I had heard one of MY songs in Wal-Mart, I probably would have ran around the store like a lunatic and gotten myself thrown out.
Maybe some day :)

Cool. Have fun in Japan! Are you going to try to visit China at all during the Olympics? You're so close, but you'll probably be busy. You're going to have a Japanese edition of your album right? =/ Dunno where I can get it if you do. Haha that's funny about the grocery store. Just last weekend I was in the lobby of the Las Vegas Hilton and I was in the middle of a conversation when I just stopped and said, "Wait. I hear Marie' Digby playing." It was loud in the lobby, too, and the music was kind of faint so I was surprised I even heard it. I smiled, but my cousin looked at me funny lol.

I was hoping you've read my message from a few days ago regarding a trip to Manila, in it I was hoping I could produce you a concert tour of some sort here, but I'm still really glad you're coming over. I'm still interested in helping out in whatever way so if and when you get the time please lemme know - If only for me to meet you outside of official business.

Hahaha omg! As I was walking through the mall today on my way to work I heard "Say it again" Blasting in Abercrombie! I ran in and the following occured:

Me: OMG! Do you know who this IS!?
Girl in front room: Um... no? Who?
Me: Marie Digby! It's spelled like Marie but pronounced Mar-ee-ay.
Have you heard of her?
Girl: I think so what else does she sing?
Me: Well she DOES have an acoustic version of Umbrella that they play on The Hills!"
Girl: Oh yeah! I like her! How do you spell her name again?
Me: Give me your number, i'll text it to you!

Yay for spreading the word! :)

Hey Kid
Are you gonna see Charlie when you go to Japan? He's there, you know. His phone isnt on, so email him. he says the italian food is good.
Whatever!
Not only have I also heard the song at the supermarket, but my mom still insists on calling me EVERY TIME she hears any song anywhere. Supermarket. Hotel. Doctors. Restaurant. "I heard your soooooong at the car wash today!" Yikes. Easy to please, I suppose.

Anyway.. hope to see you one of these days when we are within a thousand miles of eachother.
