I'd like to take the time now to thank each and every one of you for your support during what has been the worst week of my life, by a long shot.

The outpouring of letters and messages has given me great comfort, as I know it has for Charlie's family.

I hope that when you hear our records, whichever one it is that you like the most, you will remember him and the joy that he brought to the world.

Since some people are probably wondering, I have cancelled all tour plans for the forseeable future.  When I'm ready to get back on stage without Charlie, which may never happen, I'll do my best to play as many shows as possible.

I'm not sure about the future of the band.  I can't imagine doing this without Charlie, but since the grief is far too near at this point, I'm not making any concrete decisions about anything regarding the future.  I just want to bury my best friend, lay his soul to rest, and keep him in my heart.

Yours in Music,

Joshua Eustis

Be assured you will play on and Charlie will always be with you on stage . . . in your heart. Charlie would of wanted it that way for sure. Make lots of money and give Charlie's 'cut' to his family or create a memorial. If you quit it means Charlie dies all over again. Play on . . .

Joshua, I really hope that in whatever way possible you understand just how profound and special Telefon Tel Aviv was and is to your fans. The news of Charlie's passing is all the more awful because of the bond that I - along with many others I'm sure - feel with the music. More so, I hope that along side the pain of this we can all feel joy for the fact that Charles was able to touch so many people with his craft in ways that so few people can. I don't think there's any greater success than that in life. To move so many people directly and indirectly, that's the truest mark of a wonderful soul. My thoughts my prayers and every ounce of strength to you Josh, to the family of Charlie and also to everybody else who's hurt by this.

Josh, you have been apart of something great and you still are. Whether you choose to continue with TTA or not doesn't change your fans love and support for you. We all know that TTA will never be the same, but that doesn't mean that it can't still be amazing, like it has always been. Should you one day decide to continue on (if and when you are ready), we will follow you no matter what your called. But if you continue to move on with TTA in some form, I think it can be seen as a way of honoring Charlie. You guys worked hard for this and you have affected and inspired many lives.

As a long time fan, I feel like I speak for many of us when I say that we support you regardless of your decision(s). But as you said and as we all know, now is not the time for such thoughts. Send off your best friend and celebrate his life. I imagine Charlie smiling down on all of this right now, as he walks to Yumeji's Theme.

My Aural Fixation

Hi Josh I am a relatively new fan of your music, being introduced to it by my boyfriend around three years ago. I remember thinking when I first heard your music that it is the stuff dreams are made of, literally. Your music took me, and still takes me, to a place where the world as we know it fades into the background and my imagination reigns. I'd just started my music review site this year and was looking forward to promoting albums like yours because I was amazed at how few people in Australia had heard of you. Like me, unless they'd heard of you through your affiliations with famous bands / musicians, they remained ignorant. So, it was with great sadness that I read about Charlie's passing. I was shocked -- how can someone so young die? -- and I didn't believe it at first. Then when it sunk in, I was saddened for you, for his family and friends...but mostly for Charlie. Not only was he a talented guy, but he seemed nice too. So much potential. All you can do now, Josh, is let it all sink in, deal with it in your own way, take us much time as you need to figure out what you will do next. You're too talented to end your career here. Know that, when you are ready to start creating again, we will all be here to support you and listen to your music. I know we're only 'fans' and sometimes we can seem a little creepy in our obsessiveness about music. It's probably even weird for you getting messages like this where we feel we know anything about you or how you are feeling! But whoever we are, we're behind you 100% and feel your loss, albeit not in as direct a way or as strongly, as Charlie was your best friend and partner in crime :) Stay safe over these coming weeks and whenever you need us, we're here.

It still hasn't even hit me yet, just last week we were playing pool after the record release party...had no idea that would be the last hug goodbye I would give him. Every time I've said that you guys are my heros, I've meant it wholeheartedly. Josh please continue to write music and inspire people but do it when you are good and ready to saddle up again. If you need anything at all don't hesitate to ask. I won't be able to fly in for the funeral tomorrow, but I will make sure to visit him when I'm back in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. The brightest stars shine half as long. Take care.

In the past 2 months I have found out about Telefon Tel Aviv, purchased all of your albums and you have became one of my favorite bands and biggest idols while putting me to sleep every night since I got the records. If I could trade all of the feelings, emotions, and thoughts that listening to your music, and even reading about you in articles, etc.. gives me in exchange for this to never happen, I would do so instantly. Your music has taught me that music is more than just sound, it is art in sound. As an aspiring electronic musician, I look up to both of you and will do so as long as I am alive.

Please keep your chin up and understand that we are all here for you. You will come out of this on top and will end up a stronger person because of it.

I'm in complete shock. I've only just heard the news, I'm absolutely gutted. He was a true hero of mine, the both of you are. I only discovered your music a year ago, but i'm completely converted to it. At least one of your songs, is played daily, sometimes an entire album is. Your music is absolute genius, and it's possibly one of the strongest reasons i listen to music and live the life i lead. I'd like to thank you both for that. My thoughts are with you and Charlie's family. Jamie

I know how it feels to lose a best friend so I can only offer my condolences to you Josh (and I think of him every time I listen to Someone Great by LCD as well). In time your spirit will improve. Charlie will live on forever in your heart, in his family's heart, and in your music. I wish you the best...RIP Charlie

Josh, I can honestly say I know what you're feeling. About 8 years ago, I lost a very close friend and colleague due to untimely circumstances. Everyone in our musical neighborhood lost a gift, and we knew there would never be any filling of the void created by his passing. I can honestly say it has taken me a long time to want to get back out and play again. I just bought the album two nights ago, and have been playing it constantly. Tonight is the first night I read the news, and I am saddened to hear of your tragedy. I love the sound of this new album, it fills me with so much inspiration. I want you to know that through everything else. I remember one of my favorite professors in college once told me that writers write to remain immortal. I feel like we as musicians have the same ability, and yours and Charlie's mark has been made with the impressive discography you have both created. Thank you for everything you two have done. To you, to friends and family of Charlie, my sincerest condolences.
