Current mood:  stoked
Category: Sports

Kind of a misnomer since it is technically an "anaerobic" excercise but the point being you will be huffing and puffing if you push it hard and use the right weight. Go fer and put your comments on it in the blog-a-rooney. Toodle-pipsky!

Upper Body Cardio Routine for Franky

What you'll need:

-Pull up bar
-30 or 35lb Dumbbells
-Ability to time yourself

You will do three rounds with 1 minute rest after each round.

1 round consists of:

-Pull ups (any grip) till failure
-30 Pushups
Grab the dumbbells
-15 overhead presses
-15 curls
-15 upright rows
-15 hammer curls
-15 bent over rows
-15 shrugs
Lay on your back
-15 tricep extensions
-15 presses
Drop dumbbells
-25 V-ups (Keep your legs straight, bring them up from the floor at the same time with you hands over your head bring them up to touch your toes at the top.)
-25 Supermans.

Rest.

-Do not put down the dumbbells throughout the round. Work that grip.
-If you have to cheat some to get through the workout, do so. Get it done.

Enjoy that deep burning sensation!

AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE BECAUSE SOLON WOLF AND STONE COLD SAID SO!!!

Tried the workout man, and I just have to say, thanks for making me feel out of shape. I crapped out after one round and the second set of pullups. But I take this as a challenge. My new goal in life is to pull off those 3 rounds. Thanks man.

I have a similar workout that maybe you'd enjoy
You need a well stocked fridge and a timer.

1 round consists of

start in the kitchen
-one chicken leg, eaten in three bites. Make sure the bucket of chicken has been sitting on the counter at least since lunch, and preferably overnight(KFC or Popeye's is best)
--Slam one cup of coffee (this gets your heart into the target rate)

Open the fridge and consume
-a slice of cheese
-leftover green beans and ham hocks from last night
-a spicy Italian sausage
-chase each item with a shot of rooster hot sauce
sit on the center of the couch
Reach with your left and get the remote, hand it off to your right hand over your head and stretch over and put it on the right arm of the couch. Reverse it. repeat until failure
Out to the porch
Smoke a Kool. Your goal is less than 45 seconds. Think "The bus is coming and this is my last straight."

back to the couch
Turn on old Pride reruns and tell your buddy that you coulda been an MMA superstar, but when you were still a badass there was no money in MMA.
Repeat 10 times.

enjoy that deep "I'll be dead long before 40" sensation!

Wow...this is great. Not necessarily fun, but a good work out. I've been throwing this in as a nice change of pace to Bas' mma workouts.
I must admit when I first started doing this I was hating you for a few brief seconds in the third round, but afterwards all was well and I liked you again :)

Anytime you have any other workouts please post them. All though I'm not planning on becoming a fighter any time soon, I like seeing the different ways that you guys train, and having new things to try.

And if you ever find yourself in New York, please feel free to come by for a free Acupuncture Session!
