Current mood:  happy
"I'm sure you've all been wondering what is going on at the Stavesacre Foundation as of late.  The fact of the matter is, Stavesacre as we know it, is done.  There is no tragic "Behind the Music" story.  We all love each other, and you, as much as we ever have.  We just feel that after an incredible 11 year run, it is time to close this particular chapter in our rock and roll journey.  You may be asking yourself "so what the heck have you guys been up to?"  The answer is, trying to think of the best way to say "thank you" to all of you wonderful people that have been so good to us since the beginning.  We have had countless conversations and have come up with a few ideas that we think will be the best bookend to our illustrious "career".  Everything is in an extremely embryonic stage at this point, but here's the skinny: we will be writing and recording some new music with a very good friend of ours, Jeff Bellew.  Jeff is obviously a huge part of the Stavesacre story and it just seems right to close the book with him back in the fold.  We will also be compiling a career spanning DVD that will hopefully involve anyone who's had anything to do with our band.  All of this will culminate in a handful of shows to say goodbye.  The 5 of us are incredibly excited and can't wait for you to hear the rock.  Sorry for the radio silence...more to come...

I'm crying. No seriously. You have no idea. But happy for ya'll. I hope you get dates up for shows. I'll be flying out from Missouri to see ya'll and I need to get the planning done!

... I've spent my whole life with you guys, I don't know what to do next. :) jk. I'm excited you're working with Jeff Bellew! So excited! I'm looking forward to everything ever from you, praying for you, and glad I was able to experience you all along my life, and your lives' path. God bless, and goodnight.

Words cannot express.

 ..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I have listened to Stavesacre for a decade.  Opening a show for you was the greatest musical experience of my life, and I will never top it, no matter the success I achieve.  I watch flavors of the month come and go, wasting the success that you guys deserve.  But, you did it better, and with more heart.  I’ve seen Floyd, Metallica, and a million other big productions that can’t hold a candle to the power of your live show.  I’ve driven from Cleveland to Chicago, Harrisburg, even Anaheim to see it, and it was worth every last mile.

All I can say is thank you.  From Absolutes to HTLWAC, thank you.  From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.

This is sad news to be sure, but I knew the day would come. Thank you for the eleven years, Stavesacre. I can't wait to see what comes out of the sessions with Jeff Bellew, and the DVD excites me to no end - be sure to include your music videos! I'll assume that your last shows will all be in CA, and YOU can assume that I'll drive from Colorado to catch one or two of them.

I just wanted to say that I have been inspired by all of you guys since I was a young lad and have been listening to all of your music since friction. I honestly will remember and still love your songs when I am old and grey. You guys taught me how to love music.

What!!! This has to be some of the worst news I have ever heard. The band that I have seen at least 8 times in concert over 11 years calls it quits?!? What to say to that? I still remember the first time I saw you all---in Bartlesville, OK at the Wherehouse for the Friction tour. That was one of at least 3 shows I saw you perform in B'ville. I've also seen you in Fort Smith, Cornerstone, Oklahome City, Dallas, Claremore, and Tulsa. I have the Stavesacre flower tattooed on my arm as a constant reminder fot he way to live I found thru the music and lyrics Stavesacre made. I got it just before Cornerstone, and showed it to everyone I could. You could never know any of the following, but I wanted to share this with you.  I lobbied hardcore as a college student to get you major playing time on 104.5 in Tulsa, the first time I felt my son kick was at your show in Claremore ( I think during Colt 45!), I own a shirt from each show that I attended (but the black one with the big red flower that my wife accidentally donated), and two of my prize possessions are 1). a shirt I bought at the Fort Smith show signed by Mark, Sam, Dirk, Ryan AND Jeff and 2). a setlist Dirk gave me after a show in the Wherehouse on the Absolutes tour. I only have two regrets from having seen you live:  1). Dirk, it wasn't the same without you at the show in The Other Side Club in Tulsa and 2). I have never heard Zzyzx Scarecrow live.  Please do the honor for your biggest Okie fan when you come back around!  I also regret that your fanbase was not big enough to support you all in your musical endeavors. I want you to know that I own everything you have made, and I tried to do my part to support you all. This is going to be a huge loss, but I look forward to the new stuff that you will be creating, and am viewing that announcement as my "joy comes in the morning" moment from your announcement. My thanks to each of you that contributed to Stavesacre--Mark, Jeff, Sam, Dirk, Jeremy, Ryan, Neil.  Thank you for all that Stavesacre made and was.

P.S. PLEASE DO ONE LAST TOUR WITH A STOP IN THE TULSA AREA!

Your biggest Okie fan!

Im definately not one of those types that gets "emotionally attached" to something that doesnt directly correlate to my life, but i have to say that my heart honestly sank a little when i found out one of my favorite bands is splitting.  I some how feel that the soundtrack to my life has changed just a little bit.   I can honestly say that the music released by yall have helped me live a little better.   Yall have given me something to hold on till my life departs.   Stavesacre.   Thank you so much for being a part of my life through out the years.  it has been over a decade since i started listening to you and upon hearing this news ill raise a drink in your honor.   You guys have put out some amazing music that has truely molded to my way of thinking about life.  The emotion and beauty that youve wound into your music will forever sing to my soul.  Bless you for all the amazing memories that will be with me when i hear your music and bless you in all endeavors you seek out after this is done.   I know little rock hasnt been the kindest to you Mark, but im truely grateful for all the shows youve performed here.   Youve truely blessed some souls.   God bless you brother.    God Bless you all.

All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you!  For so many of us your music was "a comfort in the darkest of nights".  For me, personally, your music/lyrics really changed the way I view my faith, my relationship with Christ and my life as a Christ follower.  I sincerely hope you guys have few regrets about this part of your lives because you have made such an impact on so many people with your music.  Thank you for giving up parts of your lives to bring so many people such honest and powerful music.  You are, were and will be a success as long as we all keep listening, learning and growing from your collective struggles as artists, people and Christians.  Thank you for your suffering in those areas.  We would not be the same without those sacrifices.  God Bless

Well the day when I find that there will be no new Stavesacre songs left to discover will be a sad one indeed, but that day has not come yet.  New material with Jeff?  More shows planned?  I can't wait.  And you know I'll stand by whatever you guys do after this.

I've been following you guys since the Friction release show in Cypress with EDL, Flowers For June, et al. Your music has really touched me over the years and I still turn to it for comfort and release often. I'm sad to see you guys wrap it up, but I wish you all the best.

Mark, your voice has been an inspiration to me as a singer over the years and I've learned so much of my style from you. I can see how you've grown from the Crucified days thru all the Stavesacre albums, but not just your voice, your lyrics too. Thanks so much for your influence on my life.

Dirk, there is nothing quite like watching you play. You have a style all your own, and I've ran into countless people at shows who say the same. You are a big part of what makes Stavesacre the live force that it is.

Sam, I've enjoyed your drumming since the Saviour Machine days. I always enjoy your energy and the flavor that your dynamics bring every song.

Ryan, you have a mystique all your own. You walked into Stavesacre with some pretty big shoes to fill. I never felt like you were there to replace Jeff, no one could, but I was glad to see you come to your own within the band and make new music the guys. To this day, I think Speakeasy is my favorite album from you guys and I attribute a good portion of that to your presence.

Jeff, even though you left Stavesacre years ago, I have always considered you apart of that family. I only got to see you play live once, but it was memorable. I remember watchin this big guy, about my size, rockin up on stage bangin his head and having a blast with a monster smile on his face. I loved it, you rock man! I remember trying to put together a show with Stavesacre on the bill a few years ago and laughed when I saw your name on the rider, somethings never change.

Take care guys, keep us all posted with all of your future projects and may God bless you all in the years to come. If you need any assistance putting on a farewll gig in So Cal, Roxx Productions will be happy to help.

Hey guys,

You have been and will continue to be a vital influence to us and our music.
We are beyond excited to hear what you do with Jeff Bellew.

I think your last record (Curse) was a very monumental and exciting record in your career. I say the only way it can get better is writing with Jeff.

In all you do...good luck and if you come anywhere near the Midwest you will have an army of fans coming out of the woodwork to see you.

Thanks,

I have to say that I love you guys for all of the amazing inspiration you have given me over the years.  I feel privileged to have seen you perform live many times; my heart mourns this parting of ways.  But I know better, because I realize you guys are doing what you want to do, what you have to do.  I want to beg you to continue, but it is an unrealistic want.  I hate to think that last year's show in Cleveland will be the last time I shall ever have seen you perform.  No one, and I whole-heartedly mean it, NO ONE can match your power and awe up on that stage as Stavesacre plays on for all of the adoring people.  I have never seen a better live performance, and no one can live up to the standards you have set for me.  Thank you all.  I wish you well. :' )

I'm sad to see that Stavesacre is over with. Your music has touched, my soul, and spoken things that I can't seem to speak but it expresses how I feel.  Loving your music since day one that I heard it, and have kept up with it even when there was such silence. Its sad to know that your all ending but its awesome that you've been going on for 11 years, unlike most bands that end up breaking up before they reach that mark lately. Each one of you are truely a blessing, and I pray that God continues to bless each one of you even more.

for what its worth.. your song "a place where i can breathe" literaly changed my life. I moved out from my parents house and bought my own house on a mountain property away from the world (17 miles to the nearest gas station, yet i still work in the "big city") I can honestly say that it was tracks like "Gold and Silver" and "World to Wait" that have sculpted the last 1.5 years of my life, both is where i live and where i work, but also in my relationship with God and the church.

I am not sad that the form of Stavesacre is fading away, but rather happy for all of you and ever thankfull for the permanent changes that you have made in my life and the life of those whom i have shared your music with and for those who will find your cd's in stores in the future and have thier lives changed as well.

Mark, please continue "Simplicity" and Jeff, i'm still waiting for the next "Chatterbox" cd....

I can't wait to hear what you have in store with Jeff back in the mix. Well, this is bittersweet news to hear. I got all teary eyed after reading this, realizing that Stavesacre will be no more. The eleven years that you guys made music together rocked me out. Getting other people into Stavesacre was always so rewarding. So now I have to seriously ask myself what I am going to listen to now that you guys, yes my all time favorite band, will soon be no more. The one thing you guys have to do is come to The Door in Dallas Texas for one of your goodbye shows. Everytime you guys came in concert to The Door I never missed a show. So please don't forget about Dallas Texas. We love you guys here. I know I for one do. So, God bless and keep you, stay after Him and pursue whatever He has set before you to do.

Much love,

This is truly a sad moment in my life.  As an inspiring teenager drummer searching for an influence to follow along side of, Stavesacre has ALWAYS been a main focus in my musical career.  I will always remember playing along with your cd's.  Most often "Friction".  Are there any ideas for side projects?  I think you are all very excellent musicians, and I love what you write/play.  I think you guys should play a grand finale show near the Ontario, Canada border, so then I can at least say I saw you play.  Buffalo, Detriot, somewhere near there would be amazing... Also, you should get Project 86 to play with you guys...  Now THAT would be a GRAND FINALE!!

God Bless you guys.

P.S. let me know when the DVD comes out... I'll have to buy your stock...lol

I joined Myspace just to say my farewell to the best band there will ever be.  I also feel like crying and this reminds me that while on earth everything must come to an end.  11 years is an awesome run but somehow it doesnt seem to be enough.  I cant wait for heaven when there will be no partings, farewells, or reasons for tears.

Thanks so much for the music that not only sounded amazing but had lyrics that are so genuine and show that you guys truly poured yourself into your music.  The strength, honesty and emotion of your songs will live on long after Stavesacre is no more.  Please come to the Midwest(OH).  Many people will come and I will personally bring everybody I know to your show.  Thanks for ending in such an awesome way.  Its just a reminder of the kind of band Stavesacre is and it means so much to all ur fans.  Much Love...Farewell Brothers
