Oh my lord what a man, what a album. Looked at his performance on Jools Holland and it almost made me cry. Well, maybe not so much only him but Ive been finding myself in an constant kind of sentimental mood. Is it the constant travelling, new hotels everyday, or maybe the lack of summer? Or maybe that reality never lives up to our hopes of love? Or does it? What do you think?
Anyways, take a look at this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHyo33XLP24

Sometimes I wish I were a man and if I could be anyone right now I'd definitly be him, I love his voice....It gets to my skin. It makes me so happy to be truly amazed and touched by an contemporay artist in these modern times of despair.
Maybe my new album will be a cover album of his album? Eh? Maybe not. But Ill definitly bring out the man in me soon...

Okay, some more news lovely lovers.
Besides all the shows and travelling I've done a new video. Saw it yesterday and Im very happy about it. I cant wait for you to see it. YOU TUBE IT SOON!!!
It's for my new single Breaking It Up and I would say it's very french in a way...It's an dramatic episode of my lovers so far, I got long hair in it( NO BUN!!!) and some nice shoes and I do some signature dancing.

Sitting in Camden now where I will do the I Tunes festival. Will be good. I hope to see some of you there.

Stay tuned for news and songs.

Stay young and brave at heart.

Love always.

LL

i really love what you're saying here...

i think i understand that constant state of feeling sentimental and how certain people's hearts, minds, and spirits just get to you, get right under your skin. have you listened to fleet foxes? they do that for me...as well as the beautiful clarks(both from seattle)

i don't know, what you're saying really resonates...that love always seems more incredible or fascinating in our imaginations...but reality is just that- real and dealing with the hard, the mundane, the practical makes us strong...and getting to share in everyday life with the ones you love can sometimes be monotonous but at the end of the day...your sharing the intricacies of your life with only a handful of people. i think that's beautiful.

i wish, i wish, i wish you were coming to seattle again soon(say october) and that you were also on your way to paris...

i really adore your music but more so the simplicity and innocence of your voice.

thank you for creating, for being inspired, for loving and growing.

p.s. bon iver is really wonderful, i agree.

Wait 'til you see Bon Iver live..! I saw him in a room full of amped-up Jens Lekman fans (hehe) who actually went completely quiet for the occasion. I've never seen such a quietly powerful trio on stage.

Thank you for this link, I hadn't heard of him before.... and oh, how sublime! It's like I close my eyes and his music encapsulates everything inside.... It made me think of a poem, which fits somehow and what you said about being in this blanket of sentimentality -- It is called "I Am" and is by John Clare....He was always depressed apparently!!! Hope you like it, it's perfect with Bon Iver in the background... PS. I saw you at Koko the other night, you were awesome!!

I Am

I am: yet what I am none cares or knows,
My friends forsake me like a memory lost;
I am the self-consumer of my woes,
They rise and vanish in oblivious host,
Like shades in love and death's oblivion lost;
And yet I am! and live with shadows tost

Into the nothingness of scorn and noise,
Into the living sea of waking dreams,
Where there is neither sense of life nor joys,
But the vast shipwreck of my life's esteems;
And e'en the dearest--that I loved the best--
Are strange--nay, rather stranger than the rest.

I long for scenes where man has never trod;
A place where woman never smil'd or wept;
There to abide with my creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept:
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie;
The grass below--above the vaulted sky.

John Clare

Can't wait to see the new video. I've loved 'Breaking it Up' even more since your gig in Dublin when everybody got up and started dancing in the aisles and up in front of the stage.

Be sure to visit Ireland soon. I hope your shows are going well.

Lykke, Bon Iver is one of my most dear artists. I'm SO glad you love him too. That Jools performance was truly moving and beautiful. Full of honesty and passion.
I heard about him a while back and got his album a few months ago. Couldn't agree more. His music gets right into my body and its an amazing feeling. I don't really have the words for it. I get in emotional states of loneliness and the feeling of being unloved and not living the life i want to life alot and when i listen to that album, it does what you say: Pretty much makes you cry. I love it.

We should talk music a bit more my dear. I'm into the distinct and intriguing.

You were absolutely outstanding at Latitude by the way. A MASSIVE highlight for me, not just at the festival but my life in general. SO SO GREAT!!! NO-ONE bettered your set at the whole festival, i really mean that.
I'm a massive fan and i weren't missing you for anything. I've always said that i love EVERYTHING about you. Your whole artistry blows me away really. Plus you are super beautiful. Congrats.

The ground for the crowd was terrible though; I tried to dance to your music but twisted my ankle on the bumps and holes in the ground. ha. I just bopped after that. And OH MY GODDDD!!! Your cover of A Tribe Called Quest was AWESOME!!!!! Thrilling's the word, i think...???

Take care anyway Lykke. Wish we could've met.
Love you loads. Xx

Lykke Li, I somehow do understand what you feel...sentimental feelings...and these feelings bout love. Men kanske vill du läsa nagonting om kärlek...which differs from what we think of 'love' http://www.katinkahesselink.net/kr/love.html

Jag gillar din musik!
