I got to do an interview yesterday with Bill Cody (what a sweeeeet man) regarding my ACM nomination as "top new female vocalist" and I guess that was the first time that whole thing has really settled in and felt REAL to me.

What an HONOR. I’m just so surprised and happy to be nominated! I know people say that all the time and it’s so cliche..."it’s just an honor to be nominated"...but it IS.

We got a chance to talk about a lot of things....Kansas...Stevie Nicks...songwriting....stupid boy...pet peeves...and we laughed a LOT! I hope my answers to some of those questions weren’t toooo candid. I really get disgusted with what I call "stock answers", which are basically just answers that you suspect that people WANT to hear that wont rub ANYONE the wrong way. I guess I take the more organic approach to interviewing and give you guys a little more credit for having a sense of humor!

So YOU tell ME when you see it. Lemme know if I need more "stock answers" or if I should just keep on blazing the trail of honesty in country music. Okaybye. xxoo
