And so it begins, my friends. It has been some time since I've blogged on here because I've been busily taking care of, well, business. But, the hiatus is over!
And what's next my friends? The MySpace Directory. So as we close in on the 100 millionth profile on here, it's time someone put together a resource to help folks sort through all of these profiles.
Here's some of the things I want to list in the directory:
- Famous Folks
- Tons of people make fake profiles on here, which I don't mind. I think it's quite understandable that people want to pretend to be someone famous. However, there are some famous people on here and it would be nice to know who the real Lance Bass is. Well, I don't want to know, but someone out there does. So, I am going to take registrations from famous folks (and from anyone that wants to let me know where the real ones are). Then I will do the tedious dirty work of verifying identity to help y'all know where to find your favorite famous folks! I'll be breaking them down into categories like musicians, actors, artists, radio personalities, porn stars, politicians, etc.
- Real People
- Maybe your not famous. Maybe you're just pretty and people pretend to be you. Register your *real* profile here (by adding a comment, silly)
- MySpace Layout designers
- Lots of talented folks out there are making sweet layouts so the rest of us can MySpace in style. Wouldn't it be nice to have a huge list of them to choose from?
- Ninjas!!!!!!!11
- I'll have two categories here. The folks that are MySpace Ninjas, which means you have what is now referred to as a "div layout". And, folks that either are ninjas or use ninja stuff on their profile. Gotta take care of my own, ya know?
- Bloggers
- Almost everyone has a blog, but I want to find the people that blog at least once a week. I'll break them up into categories after I start recieving submissions.
Ok. That's my starting list.
Here's what I want from you:
- Add submissions for the categories I listed above by adding a comment to this post. I have to read through a grip of these, so keep it succinct.
- Recommendations for additional categories you'd like to see.
Once I've compiled enough submissions and I begin the overwhelming task of organizing it all, then I want to do voting. What kind of voting? Say we end up with 2,000 people in the "Bloggers" category, I want to help people know who everyone likes and I plan to use voting to do just that.
So, tell your friends to start submitting! It's time we all know where the cool people are on MySpace!
If you are submitting for a category, please tell me which one.
