So by now we know it's all bullshit.
We even know that the guy who started the rumour is using my blog to further distance himself from it.

and..consequentially we know that if I ever run into him I will pound his head flat.




The only upside is that they may have mentioned earlier blog to him.

So I guess I did get to tell Ace...

..but just in case...Ace..You Kick Ass.

Honey - I'm so sorry. :( I wish there was something I could do or say to make what happened not happen or at the very least to comfort you in some way, but I can't. :(

All I can do is say that he knows now how much he influenced you and affected you...

My thoughts are with you and his family at this difficult time. Unfortunately, I know first hand how hard suicide is on a family... :(

I think you've been hoaxed...  I don't think Ace committed suicide, or at least thats what I heard.  Here's a link reporting it as false...

Umm, Hal my love, I just read that Ace is very much alive and well and is currently working on a new solo album.  The news report even mentioned your blog.  I just thought I would let you know so hopefully this news will cheer you up.  Come to Vegas!!!

Ace Frehley is alive and kicking despite rumors of suicide

Rumors of former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley’s suicide began to circulate around the Internet on Friday, Feb. 23rd, but it appears they turned out to be false. Instead, Frehley is said to be in good health and still working on a new solo studio album and even a couple of film projects.


Reports started to circulate the Internet on Friday that Frehley had committed suicide by taking pills, and was reported dead at 2 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23rd. However, there had been official report from Frehley’s people, KISS, or even a credible news agency.

Internet encyclopedia Wikipedia also listed Frehley as dead from suicide, but stated more information concerning the death had yet to be reported or confirmed. It has since removed the death information.

Frehley is said to have taken the news of his death well, reportedly responding: "I don't know how this ridiculous rumor got started."

Ace Frehley (who’s real name is Paul Daniel Frehley) was born on April 27, 1951, and was one of the original members of the iconic rock band Kiss. Frehley left the band in 1982 to pursue a solo career. He rejoined Kiss in 1996 for a reunion tour and new album, but left again in 2002 during its Farewell Tour.

He's not gone; it was all a bunch of bullspit. Just thought I'd be nice and let you know. We can all breathe a collective sigh of relief,

Without going into the details of the rumor-mongering that originated on a fan site that said the news of Frehley's death came from a "reliable source," the most realiable source has spoken up to clarify the truth.

"I don't know how this ridiculous rumor got started," smiles Ace, as he eats his daily allotment of wheat germ, preparing to jump back on his treadmill."

Yes, Frehley is a live and well. He is currently in his in-home studio in upstate New York, working daily on his coming solo record. According to his publicist, the album is 60-percent complete and could possibly be released by May of this year

Hal,  Ace was always my favorite, "Shock Me", "Strange Ways" (best Kiss solo?) and the solo album helped define my musical interests and love for guitar.  That said, thank goodness you were wrong...

I want to kick this guy's ass!  It's been an emotional day thinking Ace not only died, but committed suicide, then to find out he's alive and well (thank God!), then an asshole is trying to friend all of us Hal fans just so he can badmouth you to us.  No one messes with me, you, or KISS without having their genitals removed and handed to them on a platter.

I was all ready to school this idiot on the error of his ways but he doesn't accept blog comments from those who are not his friend.

Good thing for him I'm not, given I'm about a stone's throw from PMS.  I look cute and cuddly, but about four days out of the month my skin turns green, my eyes glow red and snakes crawl out of my scalp.

It's bitchin.

Hun, I'm so sorry that happened to you! Its not even right that you are being blamed for starting that rumor. People can just be downright ignorant, know what I mean. I can't even begin to imagine how I would feel had I heard or read something like that about one of my favorites (I dread that day more than you know!). Don't let that guy get to you, its his Karma that will kick his ass for this one! Love ya's!!!

I'm a huge Ace Frehley and lifelong KISS fan myself, and celebrate the fact that he's still alive.  Fuck that guy who started the rumour.  As long as it was false, kick his ass and move along.  What a tool.
