Yet I remember it like it was yesterday.  I think I still have a container of ash somewhere.

I bet my parents still have a big bag of pumice lying around somewhere.  Our Project LIFE class probably took half the mountain back to Port Orchard on the bus with us.

I would love to get a Rascal just to tool around the office.  I wonder if I could expense it?

I wish I remembered more than I do.  A good friend of mine grew up in Pullman, and the ash went his direction.  Needless to say, he remembers a lot more of the details than I do.

It was my brothers birthday- we were still living in Eastern Washington. I remember sitting in the park waiting to eat birthday cake and my mom making us all go home for the party instead. That and watching the cloud of ash moving slowly towards us....

I didn't know that you lived in Eastern Washington!

I can't imagine going through something like that, although I've heard stories about the ash getting into literally everything.

The one I'm really concerned about is Mt. Rainier - despite not living there since 1991, 75% of my friends and family still live really close to that one.

Caught in his own little world.

I was a kid, we moved away from Washington a year or so before it blew.  That sort of thing is always happening to me.  Hrm...nature must like me.
