I'm glad my blog is claimed at Technorati. Gosh they really should explain their process a little better if it took someone like me a month to figure out how to do it without posting a JS embed tag. (And in fact it was not I who did the figuring out, it was my husband.)

For anyone who is interested, this is how you claim your blog at Technorati without using their javascript method:
1. sign in to technorati/make an account (http://technorati.com/)
2. go to your account page (http://technorati.com/account/)
3. down at the bottom of the page, enter your blog URL and hit claim blog: (http://blog.myspace.com/username)
4. now it will show you a page with a JavaScript code that you are supposed to copy and put on your page. IGNORE IT. You cannot do this on MySpace.
5. instead, click on "Skip this Step" (that is the confusing part)
6. Then it will give you a plain text link that you can copy and enter in a new "blog" on MySpace.
7. After you have posted your "blog" with that link, click the "Claim Blog Now" button.
8. Success! You're blog is claimed.

Claiming your blog with Technorati has many benefits, and I highly recommend doing it. Because you do want traffic from outside the MySpace network, right? That is the point of keeping a blog.

Very helpful, I've now claimed my myspace 'blog' (such as it is).  Thanks.

Glad I could help. In case you didn't know, the rest of the world calls their entire collection of posts their blog, which is a more accurate form of the word weblog, meaning journal or diary. Myspace calls individual posts blogs which I frankly find idiotic. *shrugs*
