You are approached by an older person. She carries a small silver bowl filled with white paste. You are surprised when she dips her hand into the bowl and then smears some paste on your face! A friend whispered that this is one of the oldest Songkran traditions. The white paste is supposed to protect you from evil. You are supposed to allow this adult to apply the paste to your face and neck. Furthermore, you are supposed to leave the paste on until it washes off without any help from you! How do you feel about having paste smeared on you? Will you leave it alone or wash it off, and why?

Wow this water fight stuff is amazing... and the huge day is apparently tommorow!
Check this out you want to walk to the markets dry? Ummm try again... As likely as not, youll be hit by a stream of water from a high-powered squirt gun, or a bucket of water thrown from a passing pickup truck will drench you from head to foot in an instant.
At first seem an offensive intrusion to most people, but once you grasp the fact that this is a free-for-all and you too can dump and spray freazing cold water on anyone you choose, giving your inner child the free rein it never gets back home! Besides, April is roasting hot, so its a way for everyone to beat the heat.
For about five days beginning every April 13, the whole of Thailand explodes into a frenzied water fight, with everyone from toddlers to overgrown kids joining in the fun. The serious water warriors invest in purpose-made plastic cannons that could be used as fire fighting equipment; pickup trucks with huge water tanks and cruise the streets and strangers smear each others faces with baby powder.

So me & Erin are sitting here in this internet cafe with this white stuff smeared all over our face taking our time letting our clothes dry before we go out for another wetting!

This morning on Sez & my way home from from the net cafe we got caught in this huge thunder storm... i swear i didn't even think it rained in Thailand. Yeah anways so me & Sez were sitting under this Shelter waiting for the rain to stop and then all of a sudden there was this huge i mean HUGE fork lightning! ommagosh it was awesome! We were both like ahhh making so much noise we had so much fun!

Today we couldn't really do much because it was rainy so we went shopping! Yeah thats right we went into this massive mall and i got lost it was pretty funny. I got a few gifts but i'm thinking i'd get more gifts a the markets later on where everything is really cheap!

Also can everyone please not that my hotmail eamil account isnt working for some reason but my msn messenger is though...

Mmmm i'm hungry for dinner! I miss potatoes! I could really do with a really nice baked potato right now argghhh! When i go back to melbourne  want to eat at the place every day! hehe. Baked potato cafe rox!

Yeah anywayz i can't remember if i mentioned but our ministry starts on Sunday... i'm so excited i can't wait! (",)

Thanx all for reading!

God Bless

J
