First off the Staff at the Un-Observer want to say thanks to all of the people involved in Re-Opening the Red Blood Club and all of the hard work they put into the club. The Bathrooms look great and somehow they got the 7 years of puke and piss smell out and all of the graffiti has been replaced by really cool checkered tile-Black and White in the Men's and Pink and White for the Ladies. Also the Upgrade to the sound system and the Newly remodeled Bar was great. The Un-Observer Staff applaudes all who spent 7 days a week 16 hours a day trying to get the club ready for Re-Opening .The only problem I say was with the A/C , it was not running and with 500 plus it was hott in that club, But it is Punk to Sweat and smell, right? Now for all of you who did not go to the Re-Opening of the Red Blood Club and the Re-Union show of the Staggers you missed one Hell of a party, and you Suck!I think this will be the premire Underground Punk Club in the Dallas area, way to go Boys and Girls. Second of all the Staff at the Un-Observer want to thank all of the Fans that showed up to support the Re-Opening of the RBC and the show in general, you guys and girls rock and you know it. The show Sold Out, 500 plus to this staffers knowledgs and there were still patrons trying to get in. So a Big thank you goes to to You ! Ok so here is a little revies of the show: 1st up was the Wayward Boys(Dallas)- they rocked the house like they always do. They even sold most of the Merch they had made that day for the show. They are one of the bands to watch in the future, who knows next time you see these guys they might be on tour with the StreetDogs.
2nd was the Stanger(Chicago)- they were a Punk/ Rockabilly/ BlueGrass/Hillbilly band that this staff reporter thought Kicked major Ass. They had a little sound trouble at first but it was booming and rockin at the end of there set. I look forward to seeing these guys again when they visit the Dallas area.
3rd was Flatfoot 56(Chicago) -and they brought there Celitic style of Punk, with 2 Bagpipe Players, to the RBC and did a great job as they have the last 3 times they have been to Dallas. This staffer loves this band and can't wait for the new album out sometime at the end of april I believe. All of the Kids were really having fun in the Pit, Slam Dancing as it were, when they were on. They are really a bunch of nice blokes and this Staffer is glad they continue to come and Play Dallas.
4th and Final band was the Re-Union of the Staggers(Dallas)-They are a Street/Horror/ Punk band from your home town of Dallas, Tx.Even Ron Riot-(Riot Squad/Staggers) there original Drummer was in attandance for this show, it was really good to see him. They played all of there classic tunes and ended the night by doing "I saw the Light" which had everyone in the RBC up on stage singing with the band. It was a hott night Musically and Temperture wise as well, but it appeared that everyone had a blast and the first night of the New RBC was a succesful one. Would also like to thank Jay of NBS Entertainment for all of the support he gives to the scene and to the new owners of the RBC, thanks and good luck. We will see ya soon. Also please keep going to shows and supporting the RBC, because without people clubs cannot exist and it will fall an untimely death. Thanks for rading our little corner of the world. the Un-Observer Staff
