Pat's MVP tonight, where there is fun times to be had. Watching people *try* to sing while drinking my Black and Tan was amusing, and the company was interesting. I won 2 Adult Snow Passes to
Jack Frost Big Boulder, which was surprising. Who wants to go tubing with me in the Poconos?
By the way, only the bottled Black & Tans are part of the special. Ooops.

Talked to a jerk today?
Yup. Even after I did something nice...still jerky. Despite that, I still subscribe to the theory of catching more flies with honey than vinegar. And not everyone knows I am Goddess Bee. Thus, compassion. My fuse isn't quite as long as it used to be, though...so, I will breath in jerkiness and breath out love and then release it. Either that, or start slapping people silly. The former is probably better for all involved.

Back to it, mostly. I like to let the hot water run on my neck and back while I try and rub out the damage I continually do to myself.

A Thai Kitchen box of Thai Peanut Noodles. I also put garlic in it. I kind of couldn't resist.

I love it. I just wish all the book learnin' stuff wasn't so damn hard. Good news for you guys is, I'll still give my student rates until I graduate. Bad news for me is...when the hell am I going to graduate?!?

I use tabbed browsing so in Safari I have 4 windows open and in Firefox I have 5 windows open. For you kids following along at home, that is a total of 9. Unless you want to start arguing technicalities...if that is the case, see my first answer.

When was the last time you spoke in front of a large crowd?
I'm not sure. I hate speaking in front of large crowds because I get very self-conscious of my lisp because I swear my tongue swells when I get nervous. Even with some awesome speech therapy exercises by my bodyworker/healing angel, Val, when we were working together to prepare me for Kucinich press conferences, I can only center and speak from my place of power (or va-jay jay as Chris would call it...lol) when I am very confident about what I am saying. I find it to a challenge in group ritual, or even in situations where it's intimate ritual. I am working on it, but if anyone has any suggestions, fire away.

Do you have any nicknames?
Most people know me by veggiemommie or Mel, though I do have a lot of people who call me Lissa/Lissy, Mel-Mel, Missa, etc. ...I am trying to kind of move back to going by Melissa because I am getting sick of people calling me Melony (blech) when they meet me as Mel and are trying to guess what it is short for. When you say my name, you should think milk and honey.
In Greek mythology Melissa is the name of one of the nymphs that helped save Zeus from his father, Cronus. She hid him in the hills and fed him milk from Amalthea and honey. When Cronus discovered this, he turned her into a worm, but Zeus, in gratitude, changed her into a queen bee.

People are obsessed with regret. I try my hardest just to move on from this present moment. When I find regret trying to rear it's ugly head, I remember my keys to mindfulness.

Even when practicing my keys to mindfulness, I do have my moments of regret. It would just be bullshit if I said I never entertained where those rights I have taken seem like they should have been lefts, or vicey versey, and longed for a different outcome.

Crabbing at Willoughby Spit at night with my family in the summers and making Smurf Shrinky Dinks with my granddaddy.

No. I moved around a lot.
