Hi Everyone

I wanted to say a huge thanks for all the well-wishes and messages of congratulations we've received over the last week, it means so much to me.

The birth of little Elsie has been absolutely life changing.Everything has been put into perspective. I now wonder what I was doing with all my spare time ! She's the love of my life and the main focus in my life now other than my music. It has been the most tormenting time of my life waiting for her, but now she's here it's been the best gift I've ever received.

As for my other new arrival, I'm getting increasingly excited as the single and album releases get closer. The single is out next week and comes with the extra tracks, Sitting On A Platform, which we already spoke about, a groovy little remix for anyone who wants to dance around their bedroom and a live acoustic version we recorded at Air studios which I really like. Hope you like everything anyway.

I'll be leaving Elsie with her Mum to do some tv and radio stuff this week. Buy a lottery ticket on Weds as I'll be pushing the big red button and playing the single on that show, if you win you can share it with me ;-) Then it's down to Brixton Academy on Thursday night to do a couple of songs at the Vodafone Music Awards and then finally I'm in Jo Whiley's Live Lounge at Radio 1 on Friday morning. I love doing that show, but it's always agony deciding on which song to cover. I want it to be great and so many have been done....but this time I think we've got a beauty for you. I'll keep it a surprise until the day and even Jo doesn't know yet. Hope you can tune in....

I saw on the notice board that some of you have heard 'Nothing Ever Hurt Like You' already. You guys are fast off the mark ! That song has been taken to radio in USA before any of the others. So it's like a sneak preview of something on the album.

We've also been doing some little film pieces which have been shown on the MSN site and this week's talks about the song Broken Strings, which is the one I did with Nelly Furtado......so check that out too.

Now, I'm off to do a bit of nappy changing.
