So this year I received many a good present, but by far the most impressive was my cake. Check it out:
The bigger picture. For those of you who haven't been to my house, this is a bit like what my room looks like. The lady that made the cake has never met me, which makes it even more astounding.

This is me lying in bed, listening to my iPod and perusing the artwork of The Cooper Temple Clause's 'Film-Maker/Been Training Dogs' double a-side single.

In the corner of the room sits my TV and PS2. Notice the PS2 logo and Grand Theft Auto screenshot...

On top of the TV sits the Grand Theft Auto case. Oh, and what's that next to it? But of course! It's The Cooper Temple Clause's first ever release - 'The Crayon Demos' !!! They were VERY limited and the band drew the artwork on each copy, in crayon obviously.

And just like my room, beer bottles are strewn everywhere! Unfortunately they all say Fosters on them... and as anyone who knows me can testify, I don't drink Fosters, mainly because it tastes like piss. But considering the detail, it's completely forgiveable.

These are the set of drawers that sit beside my bed, and just like my room, I can't really be bothered to make sure all the clothes fit inside. On top of them sits a birthday card and a lamp... just for that little bit extra authenticity.

But what's this? A note from EMI? What does it say? Well it says Happy Birthday, you deserve the day off. Thanks! How's about I take the whole week off? Cheers.

Other excellent bits of details are as follows!
- A belt strewn on the floor (highly accurate)
- A paper lying around (highly accurate)
- Scarface and Grand Theft Auto cases lying on the ground (highly accurate)
- It says Happy 24th Birthday John around the edges!

Here's another shot from the other side:

That about covers the amazing-ness. And for anyone who's wondering, every single bit of the cake is edible, although the bed is what you should really be interested in - it houses a sublime chocolate cake, or whatever you so desire.
My mum won the services of this extremely talented cake-maker through a school auction, so it was excellent value for money. Message me if you want her contact details, bearing in mind that it will be a little bit more expensive than what we paid.
Amazing though. Amazing.
