Hey!
Let me just start off by saying thank you to all of you that posted all the sweet comments on my last blog.. it made me feel good to know you guys hadn't forgot about me!!!
I got my very first plaque for 500,000 records sold last night for a song I wrote on the Kellie Pickler CD!! It's called "I'm on my way." I was so excited! My publishing company (Wrensong) had this little get together and all the writers got to listen to their upcoming cuts. I also got to hear the final mix of my CARRIE UNDERWOOD CUT!!! OHHH MY GOSH!!! She sang her butt off on it.. I'm sooooo happy.
I have been writing almost every day! There are some things I am really excited about! Hopefully you guys will get to hear all of it soon. I also wrote this really cool song with Miranda (Lambert) a couple weeks ago that suits her perfectly! I'm so blessed to know so many wonderfully talented people.

Ok gonna go write!!! Just wanted to check in!
O yah!! I'm playing the opry tomorrow! My boyfried Keith Gattis is playing guitar with me.. he is so amazing.. I met him playing with Dwight Yoakam! Anyways if you get a chance you can tune in on opry.com!!

Congratulations Ash on all your recent successes! You're certainly deserving of them...you're so talented! That is so awesome that Kellie Pickler and Carrie Underwood are recording some of your songs. And I know you're good friends with Miranda - she also mentions you in her fan club updates. :) Keep working hard - it always pays off!!!

Keep this in mind, Ashley - you may be having a tough time getting country radio's attention, but if Carrie Underwood (the current Golden Girl) releases your song as a single, THAT'LL get their attention. It's bound to be a huge hit, especially if she sang her butt off, like you said.

Sometimes you have to sneak in the back door if you can. You have talent, you just need a lucky break. Hopefully, this'll be the break you need. Hang in there, girl!

Congrats for your plaque for the Kellie Pickler song, you are a very talented songwriter! That's exciting that you wrote a song for Carrie-what is it called? I think it is so amazing how much you have accomplished and all the songwriting skills you have at your age! Anyway, I see I missed the Opry show, but hopefully you will have more Nashville shows soon that I can make it to. Take Care!

Well done on your "gold" plaque for your song on KP's cd. Should turn to a platinum in the future - and you're bound to get more if Carrie is recording you.

I noticed that there is a nice thread about you on the Kelliefansdotcom site under "Kellie Pickler Cafe" sub-board, in response to you receiving that plaque. You have fans over there too.

Hey Ashley! Congrats on the plaque! Hopefully, you'll be getting them for your recordings soon (if the radio & record companies ever wake up).

I have mixed feelings about the Carrie cut. Assuming we're still talking about "Flat on the Floor", I'm sure Carrie did great, but Katrina Elam's version kicked butt, too. Booo! to the business side of the music business (sometimes). Maybe you & Katrina can get together sometime and write a new song for her. She could use a song like "Satisfied" that has a bit of that classic country feel to it.

Great job on the Opry last week. Good luck with all your songs, whether you're singing them or someone else is making them famous for you. ;-)

Hey Ashley I LOVE Flat on the floor and you are right carrie does sing her butt off on it! Its a a great song lyrically and musically, I just got a fiddle for christmas and cant wait to learn how to play it i think this song would def be fun to play on it. :) I would be excited too if carrie recorded something I wrote :)
