After weeks of searching Sandi Thom’s beloved cat Toots has allegedly been shot and killed by a local land owner close to the singers family home.
Toots, who appears in this year’s PDSA celebrity calendar, went missing on the 27th of February. At first the family assumed that Toots had just gone for a wander, however after a few weeks, Sandi and her family grew suspicious as rumours had been circulating of the possibility she may have been shot.
Thom employed the services of leading Pet detective agency, ‘Animal search Uk’ who specialise in finding missing pets, a full investigation was mounted.
After 6 weeks of campaigning for information, no positive news had come to light, until yesterday, a brave member of the public, who couldn’t bare to see Sandi and her family suffer any longer, called the Animal Search team on their free phone confidential number..
They confirmed the family’s suspicions, named the person who allegedly, deliberately shot, killed and disposed of Toots at a nearby spot along the banks of the West water
The police are involved.
Sandi says, “The police have confirmed it is illegal to shoot a cat, however to enable them to make an arrerst, we have to find wee Tooty’s remains, or this sickening person will get away with it”.
A close friend of the family, says the singer is absolutely devastated at the news of her beloved cat’s cruel and wrongful death and can’t believe that anyone could be so cold blooded and heart less to shoot a defenceless animal..
Sandi had been so happy that Toots had settled into the family home, after taking her up from London, and had become best friends with their 18month old puppy Holly
All Sandi wishes for now is that justice be done and that, if at all possible, the whereabouts of her precious little cat’s remains be revealed so she can be taken home and laid to rest in the dignified manner she deserves, and we can name and shame the criminal.
She urges anyone who can back up the allegations confirming this despicable Act of Cruelty, to come forward and call Animal Search UK on 08004320340, so the police have evidence to prosecute.
Sandi added, "How would this person behave, if someone walked up to his dog and shot it dead..?"
