Powder Burns, the first record of all new Twilight Singers material since 2003's Blackberry Belle, will be released worldwide May 16, 2006, with a transatlantic tour to follow immediately after release.

In anticipation of this release, the band will perform at the 2006 SXSW in Austin, Texas on Thursday and Friday, March 16 and 17.

Rumors of a warm up show prior to SXSW in Los Angeles are currently unfounded....

The band remains Greg Dulli, Scott Ford and Bobby MacIntyre, with the addition of Dave Rosser on lead guitar and Scott Bennett on keys and vocals.

Birmingham, Alabama native, Rosser, is a long time friend of the band who has appeared on Blackberry Belle, Amber Headlights and Powder Burns.

This is the best damn news I've heard in a long time - not only is the new record that much closer, but you'll be coming back to Austin!  If you would be interested in doing an interview and / or an in-studio for KAOS Radio while you are in town, please let me know!

(sorry if this is a double post - multiple MySpace errors ensued...)

CRAZY MARY NOW ON WOWIO.COM!

This is great news!  Amber Headlights was one of my favorite albums of 2005 and now a Twilight Singers a half a year after.  This paired with the news of a new Secret Machines album also around that time makes for a killer spring!  Greg, any chace of playing Choachella this year?  If so, play Sunday!!!!

MIKE
ROCK!!!

Now, why would you go and tell me the rumor of an LA warm up show is CURRENTLY unfounded if'n there wasn't a very real chance that it would be FOUNDED before too long???

Can't wait to hear the CD and to see the tour dates.  We've got some vacation coming, so we hope to catch a bunch of shows in the midwest.  There's no better excuse for a road trip!
