If you listen to The Verb on Radio 3 this Friday night (between 9.45 and 10.30), you'll hear me and Nicholas Blincoe talking about Perverted by Language. You'll also get to hear Iain Sinclair talking about one of his favourite 'lost' poets, Heidi James & Rebecca Lattin-Rawstrone reading, Yann Martel talking about books he's giving to the Canadian Prime Minister, John Mullan discuss the history of the booklist and lots of stuff about tea!
An excerpt from Kevin MacNeil's Perverted by Language story, 'Edinburgh Man', will appear in Scotland on Sunday this Sunday (17/6), the idea being - I think - that you read the excerpt in the newspaper and then click online to read the whole thing...
What else what else what else? Well, you'll be able to read an interview with me in The Big Issue next week (I know for sure that the interview will run in the Big Issue in the North... not sure if it will run in The Big Issue anywhere else). That's out Monday 18 June.
Then, if you listen to Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone on Radio 6 on Sunday 24 June, you'll hear me talk about Perverted by Language and play a few Fall records...
And, last but by no means least, watch me, Matt Thorne (who is reading an excerpt from his story 'My Ex-Classmate's Kids') and MES (talking from Dusseldorf) on Newsnight Review on 29 June... The book will also be reviewed on the programme by a panel that includes Paul Morley and the very lovely Miranda Sawyer...
