What exactly is my "status among humanity? I actually meant it when I said I was sorry, sorry for the way his life turned out.
I can't dispute that Dr. Yeagley is a well spoken Indian man, but correct me if I'm wrong, but in the way that you use the term "well spoken," I can't help but get the impression that you're using the phrase in the sense that certain racist whites refer to people like Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice as "well spoken" as opposed to your "average ignorant, inarticulate minority."

And please define "university Indian." Compared to what? A reservation Indian? A Cleveland Indian? Or is it a reference to me being some sort of left-wing pseudo intellectual, black rimmed glasses-wearing hipster? Because believe me, as liberal as I am, I can't stand those types as much as the next conservative. But don't expect me to take you seriously if you're using my choice to use a college education to forward my upward mobility as a means to attack me.

And from what is it that I need healing? Maybe you're not aware that the man that you so vehmently defend spouts nothing but hate for not only his fellow indians, but women and other minorities. He tries to convince us that white women are naturally more beautiful as a matter of fact, and he still refers to Blacks as "Negroes," along having nothing but discontempt for the Black race. I'm going to assume that it is for these reasons you revere this man, so in reality there really is no point in trying to argue my case any further. If the fact that I stand for racial and gender equality is what needs healing, then let me stand wounded. I could care less at any further attempts of yours to downplay my statements by referring to anything I say as "cute." I get that word often; it comes with the territory of being an intelligent outspoken female in the white-male dominated world that I threaten.

I'm giving you a chance to be more explicit in your reasoning for the remarks you made towards me. Even if I can't sugarcoat the remarks I made towards Dr. Yeagley, at least I had historical knowledgeas a basis for my comments. In your comment, however, there seemed to be no central point. You gave no reasons as to why this man deserves the title of the "good" doctor. I'd like to know: Are you a native? If so, why do you follow this man's ideology? Or are you a white man who views this man as your right wing indian puppet? I mean, how am I wrong? If this man is callused enough to spread this hate mongering, then he damn well knows the repurcussions.
 

My point to rebut your attack.  Your status among humanity is dependent on one's perspective; from mine your status is liberal jack-ass.  This is based on lowest level of logical argument, pathos, or depart from reason to attack on a personal basis, that you exhibited.
"Well spoken" is a realtive term meaning easily understood and logically sensible.  Educated, articulate, lucid, logical, persuasive.  Nothing to do with racism.
"University Indian" - full of liberal ideas, biased and closed minded to the point of being bigotted.  Not necessarily educated. (i.e. Russell Means spelling?)  Education is good - you go girl!
I wish you would seek to preserve your identity and diversity - embrace it.  Doc Yeagley doesn't spout hate but promotes pride and individualism.  A closed mind is a serious wound and is not a direct threat to me, however it can do harm overall.
What does it matter if I am native?  You should hate without regard to my geneology.

I'm sorry, Adrienne, that you do not see Dr. Yeagley as a bonefide expert.  The man has a PhD. in history.  You choose to ignore history.  Dr. Yeagley is not a hate monger.  He's a realist.  You, my dear, are an immature idealist.  Being an idealist is not a bad thing, unless you refuse to acknowledge reality.

As a mature woman, I can tell you are a very young woman.  How?  Because you believe in the myth that men and women are equals.  Of course we are not equal, God did not intend for us to be equal.  We have equal rights under American laws, but we are not equal. I have been an outspoken woman, even to the extent that I was called an emasculating b*tch, but I am wise enough to appreciate the differences in male and female.

I should have qualified "equal".  Men and women are equal in God's eyes, both we created in His Image.  Man and woman are made to be One, in their marriage, as together they complete His Image.  One without the other is incomplete. (Gen. 2, 21-24, Matthew 19, 4-6).  Women have strengths that men do not have, men have strengths that women do not have, they are stronger together than separately.  Ever asked yourself why in Islam women are kept weak and separate?  Ponder on that one for awhile.  Women civilize man's baser nature...or that was the original intent. 

It's your path to choose.  To paraphrase the old saying;  If one is not a liberal in their 20's, they have no heart.  If one is not a conservative by the time they are 40, they have no brains.  Time will tell, in your case.

I simply do not believe in this man's ideology, because it sickens me, and my age or wisdom really has nothing to do with that. Is bigotry characteristic of old age?


And even if you throw a thousand bible passages my way about gender equality, how then do you condone his discontempt for minorities?

My boyfriend is a conservative, and I respect his views because he doesn't feel that sexism and racism naturally blend with the conservative stance. He wants nothing more than to distance himself from your type of extremist views that soil the right.

Call me whatever you want, although I think you need to look up the definition of maturity, because it sure as hell doesn't fit the context your statement.
