...Yes, there is an actual theory....

According to noted neuroscientist E. Van Winkle's Toxic Mind Theory, depression, mental illness, and violent behavior are the result of the continued suppression of our emotions and our instinctive "fight or flight" reflex. Violence and rage are actually detoxification crises, the body's attempt to release the built-up toxins and heal itself.

We're taught from the time we're children to suppress our anger and hurt, that crying out against those who hurt us is a show of weakness..."turn the other cheek", "be the bigger person"...

Makes you think...doesn't it?

Luna I wonder how many people have actually followed the link you have to the layman’s version of his article; I found it quite fascinating and will be back again to read it in more detail. I’m not sure I agree with everything in the article, but I definitely think that he is on to something, and his theory is probably fairly close to reality. It is also worth noting that this is just the layman’s version, and that as far as the areas where I disagree with him, it may just be a case of miss translation when the original documents were simplified.

At the very least, it makes much more sense to me now why you took this name for the band. A very cool name indeed when you know what is behind it!
