I called my 17 year old son into my office the other day to show him my new MySpace profile and the "Its all about the Poo" video from Scrubs. I was so proud. He laughed at the video but then looked at me and said, "What are you doing on MySpace? You're weird!" That was when I remembered our relationship never lacked for honesty. I tried to defend myself "MySpace isn't just for teenagers, there are a lot of people my age on MySpace" and he yelled from his room "Yeah, but most of them are trolling for teenagers" that made me feel a little awkward but he continued "I don't care, just don't ask to be my friend." You would think that would hurt my feelings, instead it brought a smile to my face as I said to myself "Don't worry I'll just write about you instead"
I'm on MySpace because I'm trying to get a feel for this social networking thing that has taken the web by storm and I also like to embarrass my son. I'll be writing about being a single dad and also brag about my kid. So, if you are over 30 stop by my profile and say hi.
