Velvet Revolver

According to a just-released statement:

"Velvet Revolver founding members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner announced today that they are parting ways with singer Scott Weiland. ’This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn’t 100% committed to either,’ said Slash. ’Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on.’"

Ond

Scott Weiland isn't really the best rock voice in the world !!! ( he sucks sometines in live...)
I'm Sure Velvet Revolver will found a rockin' singer, with real spirit of it, without polemic

Good thing for them imo. I think someone else will be able to step up and make them sound better than Scott did. I do love both albums, but I think the best from VR is still to come.

Very good band, with a great singer, song writer,

sounds like the perfect opportunity for another lame reality show "Rock Star Velvet Revolver"

Maybe david Lee Roth will try out.

Weiland is a train wreck on a collision course with immortality.

Good for them and Scott can fuckoff. He has never taken music seriously since about 1995. When my father knows of someone because of their rehab stints on TV then your more famous for drug addiction and rehab then music, it's time to give it up.

Good for you VR!

Eric Dover? Phill Lewis would be awesome? Rod Jackson if he's sorted himself out yet? Ian Astbury? Or what if Duff did it?

I feel sorry for him, but he had the chance to clean up a long time ago, and focus on his fans and music. He's done this to himself. I wonder how there gonna do their tour though, and if they'll need a singer.

JIM McALLISTER & TALIZMAN

I don't thing this news surprises anybody. I remember they had to wait for Scott to join the band until after some drug related business of his was out of the way. He came into the band with a full on drug problem. I'm only surprised they lasted this long with him. Fair enough, Slash, Matt, and Duff are no angels in the drug abuse department but their worst days of abuse were behind them by the time VR formed. Scott has yet to wake up to himself. I truly hope they find another singer ASAP . . . without resorting to a media circus, rock star competition, public auditions, or any other credibility destroying exercise.

Maybe now they will be able to find a singer that is not a head case, there is loads of talent out there they just have to take their time and make sure the personalities can work together.

I like Scott's work but lets face facts he is just not a stable personality and needs to face reality before its too late.

Its rare to reach the heights of popularity he has once in a music career even rarer still to do it twice. He is more concerned with prolonging his disease than being a rock star right now.

I wish Scott well and hope he finds whatever it is he needs to get healthy !!!

Peace, RjK ()_))______}~~~

I really Think that it's a good think that Scott go Back in stone temple pilots...this is band is a good band where his voice is naturally great...VR always seemed like a compromise...a forced band...I really Hope that VR will find a great new frontman to go back to a basic good heavy rock n roll...Maybe Mr Bach...or...Rod Jackson !!!!!!! Hell YEah!

That is too bad. the other 4 members busted their ass to make this band happen. Scott was handed this band. He really had no investment so he pissed it away.
