It's Monday and I'm feeling kinda blue :(
Feeling much better then Saturday Night but defiantly not completely over it . . .
Over what? your probably thinking.
Well Saturday Night was 'Fashion Cares', the largest Fundraiser event for AIDS/HIV in Canada. It was also an event I had been looking forward too for Months!! Saturday started off early, a 9:00am call for sound check (finished that around 11:00am) Then Hair at Noon, Make-up @ 1:00pm. Full Dress-Rehearsal @ 3:30pm. Everything looked and sounded AMAZING!!! I was so pumped for the actual show. With over 300 dancers and models, an extremely elaborate set, a line up including Katy Perry, Fritz Helder & The Phantoms, Dame Shirley Bassey & myself. This was by far the largest production I've been apart of to-date!
Red-carpet @ 6:00pm; Dinner was served @ 7:00pm and with a slight delay by 10:00pm it was show time!!!!!!!
Katy Perry went first, Fritz & the Phantoms hit the stage 2nd, and before I knew it, it was my time!  . . . Rushing backstage, getting into place and as my exact Que hit a group of models split from center stage revealing me. i hear the drums kick in, LETS GO! within seconds i knew something was wrong . . . no music . . . only drums and base . . . but we already started . . . we can't stop now. so i kept going . . . acting like nothing was wrong even tho it was clear something was.
I could see people in the audience looking at the guys in the sound booth wondering what was going on and why there was no music . . .
With only one song, it was over in lightening speed. all i can remember is getting off stage and wanting to ball .. . I know it was no ones fault . . . the computer froze (damn technology)  . . .but i can't help but feel like i let everyone down including myself. i had such high expectations for myself that night . . .*sigh* guess i felt the wrath of Murphy's law :(
Regardless my band and backup singers were Amazing! Thanks guys!
I Love you all! Thanks to Phillip, Michael & Everyone else on the board of Fashion Cares for asking me to be apart of such an amazing & meaningful event! I was so honored and I guess all i can do is keep hitting it harder every time i step on stage!

It's part of the music business. I've performed in public before, and have forgotten my words, played the wrong chords, or I have moved the mic too far away from my face. It's one of the things you have to deal with when you want to be a performer. Good for you for continuing!

I'm having a bad week myself. That really sucks Kreesha. You know you're human when you feel these things. I went through a similar phase and it kills to have that feeling. Good to know we're all not alone.
