Friday afternnon I was told by my manager that UFC matchmaker Joe Silza had left my him a message on his phone that I had been released from my UFC contract because of my 2 losses in a row.

I'm sorry, man. This probably doesn't provide you with much comfort, but UFC contract, or no UFC contract, you can take pride in being one of the best in your sport. Keep us updated, as to what you'll be doing.

I think you should go over to EliteXC.

your one of the best guys in mma at jiu jitsu. a machada black belt. that is an acomplishment in itself. the ufc is losing out on some great fights, both the silva and the frankiln fights were awesome though you came up short. when they see you kicking butt in another org. they will want you back.

Screw it man-you fought extremely well. Go over to another org. and make some new fans and better money. And besides you man handled him for that first round. You have nothing to be ashamed of.

They owed you more than a phone call. What they did was certainly not what you'd expect from a professional organisation.

I guess they really cut you because you missed weight once, showed up out of shape the next time and then slammed MMA fans. They probably had to say it was because of those fights due to your contract with them.

Anyway, best wishes.
Maybe you can get back on the grappling circuit and kick some butt there!
