spero here! so much to tell

We are getting ready for our NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINING TOUR, it begins Apr 23 in Boston and we are so excited to see everyone!! All dates, as well as how to buy tickets can be found here (insert myspace link)

We also just got back from our month-long tour of Europe with Tegan and Sara. It was absolutely awesome, but OOOH GIRL, we are a little exhausted! I also managed to bust up my ankle (aka cankle) jumping around like a lunatic onstage as usual and will be sporting an aircast onstage for the Spring tour (HOT!)

But fear not!! We are total road beasts and we can't wait for the Spring shows, and I will find new and interesting ways of bouncing around on one foot!!

We are SOOO excited to play our new set (featuring us and a bunch of instruments and of course our drummer, the fabulous Seth  H. Johnson!) for all of our friends and fans in the US and in 3 select canadian cities! Get ready for some new gems, some old treasures, AND some never before played material that YOU ALL have been requesting!!

This tour means a LOT to us since it's our first official headlining tour for 'Can I Keep This Pen?', and all of you being there to share it with us means more than you know.  DEF make sure you are getting your tickets in advance if the venue near you offers that as an option! we don't want you to miss out!

We also can't WAIT for you to see our NEW MERCH, it is literally soooo cute that we can't stand it!  We have new tshirts (featuring a design by Emy of TnS fame!), a hot 7" of the remix JD from Le Tigre did for us (which we SOLD OUT OF in Europe) and other adorable merch treats.

And as usual, we will be at the merch table each and every night of the tour meeting and hanging with everyone!! let's face it - we are social gals!!

I have been trying to catch up on some myspace comments, and it makes me SO happy to hear from all of you who are planning to come out to the Spring shows! I know some of you are a little disgruntled because we are skipping Florida, Philly and a few shows are 21+ (namely Birmingham and ATL) - sorry guys!!  We will try and do more cities, and even more all ages shows on the next tour- but a lot of that depends on the success of THIS tour, so tell your friends who live in cities where we are playing to come and see us! and to buy you a piece of merch! and we will sign it for you! it's the least they can do!!

Also, getting friends together and taking a road trip to the nearest Northern State show(even if it's 3 hours away) is FUUUNN!! come to the merch table and tell us where you drove from and we are sure to show you some love.

Last but not least, we want to extend a SINCERE and HEARTFELT thank you to TEGAN AND SARA, their whole crew and ALL their fans (we see what you guys are posting about us on saraandtegan.com and we love you for it!!) - Everyone was so amazingly awesome to us on ALL of the tours we did w TnS and we can't thank you all enough- check out 2 episodes of Backstage Bilingual that we filmed with Tegan and Sara in Europe.
