Hola everybody! Soy Spero!

Just writing quickly to let you all know that we are headed to Barcelona(!!!) where we will be playing the SONAR festival this coming Sat Jun 21. Or 21 Jun as they say in España. So if you have no plans for the weekend yet, maybe you'd like to consider a quick jaunt to this enchanting ciudad to come and hang with us and check out what is known to be one of Europe's most amazing summer festivals! http://www.sonar.es

In other exciting news, we are going to be featured on LOGO's music show NewNowNext on July 6! It's not too early to set your DVR! For anyone who doesn't know, LOGO is the gay channel owned by MTV and they have shown us a lot of love. If you are so inclined, please vote for our video 'Better Already' which was last seen at 6 on the LOGO Click List, which their website describes as "Total Request Gay!" With your votes, maybe 'Better Already' can officially be the gayest video in the land! That would be fab. You can vote here:

Something else very cool in the world of NS: our very own Sprout has had her first book published! It's called GIRLS ROCK and it's targeted at young girls who want to start a band. It is an awesome gift for any young tween in your life who you know is ready to rock, and it features a very inspiring forward by Kim Gordon. You can get it HERE!

We are still not over all the fun we had hanging with all of you this Spring on tour, and we wana extend a special thank you to everyone who volunteered to help us w merchandise – we appreciate it more than you can know. There are a few all-stars we must mention, like Lesley, Jen Alabaster, Lido and everyone else who helped us-you know who we are. And thanks to Lizzy, for the awesome pics.

We are lucky to know you all and we cant wait to see some of you again at some of the shows we have lined up this Summer and Fall, which we should be announcing pretty soon.

Lucky people the ones in Spain. I bet the show there is going to be amazing, you're gonna have a lot of fun.
When are you guys coming to Mexico? We are in need of good concerts!

I am so glad that LOGO is doing that!! I seriously thought they were going to hate my friends and I, we were voting for your video about six times a day for a whole week!!
It is now time for me to round up the troops again and see if we can get you to the spot you deserve- 1! Have a safe and fun trip, Tucson will miss you!!

I so wish I could be in barcelona to see you guys...it's my b-day on saturday, would be a great gift to myself. but I haven't enough money to travel through half of europe. So I just wish you all much fun and a great weekend! =) you rock :)

Thanks for the update! It sounds like that band is doing great. I'm glad the band has so much going on. Going to Barcelona must be pretty exciting, best with the shows there. Can't wait to hear where you play next in the new york area. Congrats on writing a book Sprout, that's awesome. Stay awesome.

Hey, ladies: I hope you all have a great time in Barcelona! I'll definitely need to check out the new video for "Mother May I?", and cast my vote for "Better Already" as well... Goes without saying, but sincere congrats on the publication of your book, Sprout!..... As far as the merch goes, unfortunately the posters have been out-of-stock for at least a month now, and the CIKTP? shirts [in extra-large; both the black ones and the purple ones] have been sold-out for at least the past 2 weeks -- and I know that because I tried to buy *the last* extra-large CIKTP? shirt on the face of the earth, but then the online store cancelled my order. {sigh!} So please please PLEASE consider selling MORE of the [men's extra-large] CIKTP? shirts on the site... as I still reeeeeeeally need one! Thanks!! Oh yeah, your show at The Knit earlier this month was fantastic... I can't wait for the Summer/Fall shows.
