yo sez:

Hi, folks. In today's Transformers Universe Galvatron review, I mentioned there was a "walking tank" form that Takara designed but Hasbro left out of the instructions, thinking it was too stupid, but that fans had designed their own. Let's take a look at a few:

This is the simplest version - it just folds out the little feet and turns the turret around. Of course, it's less of a "walking" tank and more of a "standing" tank. A gun emplacement, if you will.

A bit more complex, now. This one brings out the robot's actual feet, as well as the shoulder oddities, to make a four-legged friend.

This one takes another step up in complexity - no pun intended. The treads are split and rotated, so that the purple feet are set wider, and the tank's lines get broken up.

Now we're getting deeper into "battle platform" territory, but it does look pretty intimidating, doesn't it? The layout mimics the G1 figure's cannon mode, too.

This last one is just a small change from the previous version, with the front feet moved around to the sides. We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the Mayor of Destruction for modeling the cannon for us.

So those are just a few of the "walking tank" modes fans have come up with. I think we can see that if any of them are even close to what Takara had planned, Hasbro was right to say they were stupid and should be ignored...
