Though today's Joe Friday review wasn't specifically about Snake-Eyes' comrade Kwinn, we did mention that he was named after a Bob Dylan song:
Come all without
Come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without
Come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Everybody's building ships and boats
Some are building monuments,
Others jotting down notes
Everybody's in despair, every girl and boy,
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here,
Everybody's gonna jump for joy.

Come on without
Come on within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

I like to go just like the rest,
I like my sugar sweet
But jumping queues and making haste just ain't my cup of meat
Everyone's beneath the trees
feeding pigeons on a limb
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here,
all the pigeons gonna run to him.

Come all without
Come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without
Come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Let me do what I wanna do,
I can't decide 'em all
Just tell me where to put 'em
and I'll tell you who to call
Nobody can get no sleep
There's someone on everyone's toes
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here,
Everybody's gonna wanna doze.

Come all without (just singin' a song!)
Come all within (everybody!)
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn (I wanna hear you sing!)

Come all without
Come all within (here he comes now)
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn (let's come on and sing)

Come all without (just singin' a song!)
Come all within (everybody!)
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Come all without
Come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

There you go, the song that inspired the character. His name, at least. And the song itself was inspired by Anthony Quinn's portrayal of "Inuk" in 1960's The Savage Innocents. Weird, huh?

We wanted to include a note about how we couldn't tell you there was an mp3 of this song at http://tinyurl.com/58tzq5, but MySpace is being a bunch of dicks. They don't even like the word "tinyurl" - they try to block it. Dick move. They claim the link wants to hurt your computer, but that's stupid. It's an mp3. It can't hurt you or your computer. Unless you listen to it too loud.

Anyway, we only wanted to include the link so you didn't accidentally download it. Getting a free mp3 would be terrible, and we were trying to protect you. Now you'll probably go to http://tinyurl.com/58tzq5 without meaning to and end up with a free song, you poor bastards.
