Apparently Nothing is very proud and excited to welcome Charlie Abbott, our newly added lead guitarist into the immediate AN family. After our former guitarist, Jim Lincoln, decided to leave Apparently Nothing in November 2007, we didn't have to search far for a more than adequate replacement. By the way, he's the skinny blonde dude that's in all of our newest pics.

Charlie has been a close friend and fan in our musical circle since we were youngsters back in high school, and now has a permanent spot within the band. We're already looking forward to writing and touring with him, and there are already some interesting new sounds coming out of our rehearsal space in Minneapolis. We hope you welcome him with open arms and open ears, as we start the 2008 touring season. Look for new ideas, recordings, and promo photos popping up all over our MySpace and official websites. This shit just got real.

For those of you who need closure or are curious as to the point of Jim's departure, here is a parting statement he drafted once we got things settled:

"I've got some good news, and bad news. First the bad news (or is it good news? You decide!). I, Jim Lincoln, have parted ways with the Mega-Group, Apparently Nothing. That's right; I'm taking a very long to permanent vacation from the professional music world. But fear not! You can't stop the revolution! My cape and scepter have been passed on to someone who will be a great fit for the band (I'll let them reveal who), and I'm really excited to hear what they come up with.

So to recap: old-Jim out, new-Jim in, continue to support this amazing band. I'm sure you'll hear some good news and some new music real soon from Apparently Nothing. But I'll leave that to them!"
