Last night was the Deadwood wrap party for the third season.  Have you ever danced until sweat dripped out of the lining of your mohair jacket?  I love the people I've worked with on this show.  They are a great crowd, and when some of them get drunk enough, they tell me they love me.  Even some women.  Everybody's tired, exhausted really, from a long season, but I don't think anyone is tired of being together.  I can't write much about the emotions of the event without giving too much away about the upcoming season, but it was fun and touching and raucous and occasionally tearful.  Among the cast who were there:  Paula Malcomson, Powers Boothe, Parisse Boothe, Jeffrey Jones, W. Earl Brown, Sean Bridgers, Dennis Christopher, Bree Wall, Brad Dourif, Larry Cedar, Peter Jason, Jennifer Lutheran, John Hawkes, Ralph Richeson, Cleo King, Kim Dickens, Dayton Callie, Michael Harney, Ashleigh Kizer, Geri Jewell, Keone Young, Stephen Tobolowsky, Nick Amando, Leah Ann Cevoli, Richard Gant, Tim de Zarn, Fiona Dourif, Franklyn Ajaye, Pavel Lychnikoff, Gerald McRaney, David Redding, Kevin Kearns, and Franc Ross.  Lots of missing-in-action, mainly due to being out of town:  Molly Parker, Ian McShane, Brian Cox, Tim Olyphant, William Sanderson, Leon Rippy....
I spent much of the evening hoping to find someone who wanted to go home with a cowboy, but the women were pretty much either too married, too gay, or too much, and the men were...well, they were men, which gets someone crossed off my list pretty quick.  (I know, I know, it's judgmental, but that's the kind of hairpin I am.)
Most people had a hard time recognizing me without my beard and with my H.R. Haldeman haircut.  I do love surprising my friends.

Ya know, I went home alone that night!

I completely agree with this though... there was this feeling of, just being at home....
'cept in our fancier clothes, or just clothes for that matter.

I have had such an amazing time getting to know you and everyone involved in the show, it's a truly magical group of ppl.

Please do keep in touch!  xoxo

I didnt recognize ya for a while either (likewise w/Sean)
