	jules	I love everything you bring to the role of Bobby, and what Bobby adds to the dynamic of the show. It's been wonderful watching the charcter evolve as both you and the writer's inhabit him. And I love the dimension and point of view gives us on the brothers. In my corner of fandom, we all thought it perfect reasonable (and awesome) that Bobby would speak Japanese. All those books in his house aren't for decoration! Hope the new show is going well, but please hurry back to Supernatural. 	Cassie	First of all if I were you I'd stay away from Television Without Pity's SUPERNATURAL forum...or better yet all their forums, they tend to be a bit nutty over there. Secondly, I adore your character on Supernatural and I think that he brings a great element to the show. 	Janine (JL)	Jim, I'll tell you the same thing I'd tell Kripke about TWoP, back away and run for your life! It's just one forum, it's not representative of the fandom as a whole, and from what I've ever seen there, it's crazy over there. 95% (I'm being conservative here) of fans adore Bobby and what you do with him. I much prefer to be a fan who doesnt analyze every frame of the show, I think doing that ruins the effect of the show as a whole, and I'd much rather sit back and enjoy it as really great entertainment than to second-guess every look or phrase. 	Bex	Fandom is a truly scary place. And not just sometimes. I can't go to that website lately. It's just picking apart the show I love and the characters. I can truly enjoy an episode, then I read reviews on there and it frustrates me that they never focus on the good. I love Bobby. I always know we're in for a good episode when Bobby's around. He's the father figure to the boys, they need him and vice versa. I'm sorry that you had to stumble across this site. He is my favourite character apart from Dean&Sam and the writers and you are doing such a good job with the character. 	Sonya	For those complaining, they's probably moan about any change to what they think should happen. I like seeing Bobby, he's the voice of wisdom and reason when the boys get too fixed in their own thoughts. He gives them balance at times and that's the reason he works by dropping in and out of the series. Nice to know why Bobby could speak Japanese. I thought with the need to speak Latin and understand other dead languages and the amount of Supernatural reading he does that he'd probably learnt to read a Japanese book he needed for a hunt. I love that Eric respects the actors enough to take on board your suggestions because they add to the enjoyment of the show. 	Dagmar	Urgh.... fan forums can we "weird" places - just to say the least. Jim, we love you and we LOVE Bobby. The way you portray him is wonderful and I always feel the character is a great addition to the show. I can understand that stupid comments like that must bother you somehow because you put so much work and devotion into playing the role of Bobby. But please don't pay attention to these comments. I guess if you asked the two J's they would confirm they had their share of online crap, too... Remember what Dean said: "You're about the closest thing to a father I have". This is how I/most of us feel about Bobby - and again, you play that character fantastic :) We definitely want to see you/Bobby again. Oh, and who would give you a hard time for speaking Japanese? 	LEAH	A little rant for you, Jim. I personally think that Bobby is integral to the show. The boys need advice, plus something of a father figure since their own father’s not available. It’s unrealistic for them to know everything they need to about every encounter. I also liked the fact that Bobby spoke Japanese, which just proves that their trust in his intelligence and knowledge are well founded. Plus, it’s a huge bonus to have the JIM BEAVER lending his acting talents to the show. I loved watching you as Mr. Ellsworth, getting pissed off but restraining yourself like a gentleman. 	Homicidal Psycho Jungle Kat	As far as I am personally concerned they can kiss my Limey Butt! Sod them (sorry for such angry comment) so what and who cares what they think? They won't stop watching because of a character they don't think much of is in the show what matters is a majority do and we love you (well I think you're awesome from time spent working together anyway XD) as a great actor and a rocking human being! I've seen so many people dislike a character but upon meeting the actor immediately soften and take to them and then start to like the character too they obviously just haven't had the chance to spend a little time with The Jimster and well that's their loss. Never mind them the show won't lose fans because a bunch of idiots have an issue with someone else sharing screen time with the boys (I gather they fancy them too much to stop watching), Bobby is an important part of the show and to the Winchesters, their Hero who comes & saves the day on occasion when they can't figure stuff out or needs an extra hand, and a father figure when they need advice. You do an awesome job and I'm intrigued with this Harper's Island I will have to look it up. 	Yasmine	Jim, I read this and went seriously? WTH?! Bobby is a fantastic character!!! His is Yoda to Dean's Han Solo and Sam's Luke Skywalker... Yeah I'm a Star Wars geek... Still! I am always glad to see Bobby and watch his interactions with the boys!!! Further more I am a military brat... We did two tours in Japan and gosh I didn't learn how to speak proper English until the 3rdh grade... My Mom is Filipeno and Dad spoke Japanes so there really wasn't a need to learn English. DOD (Department of Defense) schools drummed it right out of my head anyway! Anyway the point to my ramble is don't let a few people hurt your feelings... You and Bobby are seriously loved! 	Katastrophy	Dude, I LOVE Bobby, and I think he needs to be around more often. Those idiots need to have their heads checked. Bobby kicks ass, and I had no problem with him speaking Japanese!! It totally seemed like a 'Bobby' thing to me, though I did know that you spoke it as well. But as you said, Bobby probably loves languages. He's a total walking talking collection of random knowlege. It's awesome. I can't believe that anyone would complain about Bobby's appearances, and I truly hope to see him return soon. I find it very sad to hear that you haven't filmed anything since Yellow Fever :( Please come back to Supernatural soon!! Many of us miss you, and the others can just deal with it! 	Shellie	I really hope you know what an asset Bobby Singer's character is to the show. The show supernatural is so much more than a horror themed TV show. It shows the importance of family and friends. Some people tend to forget that but the true fans of the show don't. 	SickPuppy	over the yearz i have come to a conclusion. there are some truly stupid ppl in this world! obviously, some of them are the ppl who'z commentz you read. i luv the episodez that you are in!!! bobby iz my favorite character after dean and sam!!! you've only done 16 episodez? as far as teh puppy iz concerned, that iz nowhere near enough!!! i would luv for you to do more!!! who else but bobby can call the boyz 'chuckleheads' and get away with it??? who else iz gunna pull them back into line when they get all weird? anti-santa my butt!!! why would bobby know japanese? why the hell not??? he knowz pretty much everything else, so why not japanese? i mean, this iz a guy who built a ghost-proof panic room coz he had a spare weekend! why not spend some of his spare time learning another language? bobby studiez everything about ghostz, demonz and such. some of the lore has gotta be in japanese. izn't that reason enough for him to want to learn it? i figure if the worst thing in these pplz livez that they have to whine about iz bobby speaking japanese, they are seriously underestimating just how good there life iz! i can tell you for a fact that a lot of fanz luv bobby!!! i know most of my online friendz do!!! and this sick little puppy!!! and here'z a thought for anyone who doezn't like bobby. there are usually 22 episodez per season. bobby iz only in about 7 of them. if you don't like the episodez with bobby in them..... 	Kaz	Hmmm I guess they don't hold a lot of store in getting it right over at TWoP. Now I am rather glad I've never had the time to head over to that forum. From my point of view, I get a big grin on my face whenever your name appears in the opening credits. It's always a pleasure watching Bobby in action. Thanks for letting your true fans know the deal. Any time someone mentions there is 'too much Bobby' we will have 'the facts and nothing but the facts' to refute the blasphemy.
