Current mood:  satisfied

In order to get my house ready for sale, (a sad by-product of losing my job) I had to go through a process that many adults must go through at least once in life...a horrifying experience known as The Total Kitchen Remodel.

For the month between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I lived -- with ALL of my belongings, a 110lb dog and a parrot -- in ONE ROOM!!! Yes, I was hermetically sealed with plastic sheeting over the doors into my living room. Oh, except for the days that I had to move the parrot upstairs into my bedroom and block off the door with towels so he wouldn't die from the toxic chemicals. Only, he didn't WANT to go upstairs, so he took LARGE hunks of skin into his beak whenever I moved him.

Then, there was the issue of meals. I had no kitchen or appliances, so I had to order out every day, three times a day. I got it down to two meals a day - since Triple Venti Sugar Free Vanilla Latte from Starbucks is now offically a food group!!! Not to mention the fact that having to order out every meal is SUPER expensive...oh, and did I mention I have no job?

After all of this, the plastic came down and...TaDaaaaaaa! I have a beautiful new kitchen! (Well, I have it til I sell it) And here it is! The hideous brown tile and fake wood laminate is the "before" kitchen...

Sad that you have to sell the house because you have no job...funny...the singing psychic didn't predict that...you and Mark Kaye need to call that lady up and see if you can keep your house with the new kitchen...

Your ktichen looks so much better.  It's sad that you have to sell the house because of the job issue.  Just to let you know...Kane sucks and I miss you and Mark so much!  Have a wonderful New Years!

I really miss you guys on the air, especially Fridays, its just not the same. I use to sing and dance with you guys all the time and not anymore, I am not AWAKE when I get to work anymore. Any idea where you are going to be moving? The kitchen looks great!! Happy Holidays!

The kitchen looks great.  I am sorry you will not be able to enjoy it for long but everything will work out ok for you.  Lossing a job is really hard but it makes you stronger.    I hope something comes along soon for you.

The house looks great Kris. I wish I were a millionaire, I would have paid your bills every month until you got another job.  Hmm, wouldnt that make you my "B"?  ha ha, just kidding.  Shame on that bad radio station for letting 2 Gems like you & Mark go. And yes, kane is annoying, his voice actually pierces my ears. I am not blaming him because he didnt steal your job but nevertheless, he is not you & Mark and thats the bottom line.  Take care pretty lady

This is why Kane is so foul and and awful. He came into a ready made job and took it like it was nothing. You and Mark are the only people anyone ever wants to listen to. Belive it or not listening to how many women cheat on thier husbands isnt the first thing people want to wake up to. His topics are trashy and he doesn't have that wonderful personal and funny touch. Everything you and Mark brought to everyone's morning was highly appreciated and very much so missed.
Have you guys thought about going to XM radio or something?

sorry about your house again. sometimes things happen becuase they need to happen this way and its only to make room for biger an better things which you def. deserve.

Absolutely awesome job on the kitchen - That would sell me for sure - Mine is in pretty bad shape too and I keep telling hubbt if we are ever going to sell, it has to get a major nip and tuck with a face lift!

Hope all works out well for you and Mark - I miss listening to the two of you sooooo much - I don't even turn the radio on in the morning anymore - I just have a CD in there that when the 15 minute drive gets to long I pop it in and listen to a tune or two!

Hope your holidays were great and I wish you the best in all you do once you settle on the house!

I'm so sad for you that you have to sell your house!  F$#K those bastards at Cold 99.5!  I guess you just have to keep in mind that karma is a bitch and their day is coming! (I have my fingers crossed)  I'm really pissed off and taking it personally...  I try not to wish bad things on people but It's been how long now?  I'm suffering here...my drive is long and unfunny and now my favorite ex radio girl is losing her house!  Are you kidding me?

The kitchen looks great! I've done a few of those in my time with my dad and I know what it's like to have to live without a functioning kitchen...it sucks! I've very sorry to hear that you have to sell your house. I curse those jerks at your former place of employement and the corporate cheapskates that own them everyday...I miss you, Mark & Ron terribily. But all is not lost...I know that you and Mark will find a new place to call "home" soon!
