Yesterday, after spending two days on the lake, I spent the day feeling like the world was in a slow spin around me. Today that seems to have gone away for the most part. Which is good, because I do not like feeling like I'm on my 6th beer all the time.
We caught mucho fishies, and yours truly managed to outfish the hubs *again.* Muahahahahahaha.... No wonder he doesn't seem to care if I go to the lake with him or not. Heh.
We've actually had rain lately, and should have our first crop of yellow squash this weekend. MDH tells me that the maters are putting out blooms at last, so soon enough we won't have to worry about salmonella at Casa de Digby. I'm thinking about planting a row of okra tonight since the first time we tried, none of 'em came up. I also need to transplant those damno tomato plants I started months ago before they die. I think we might have cucumbers soon too.
Not only has the rain gave the garden a jumpstart, I finally got around to putting out some of that wildflower seed in our front flower beds, and some of those seem to be coming up as well. I can't wait to see what all will come up. If it looks like we'll have rain again tonight, I just might take some more and let if fly out in the field to see if any of 'em come up.
Work has been busy busy busy. The new boss & I are still struggling to find a working rhythym, but I expected that. It always takes a couple of months to get a new chair broken in.

I just hope he turns out to be a good one. I've been so very lucky in that the majority of my chairmen have been very easy to work for. (And haven't interferred with my net addictions) Keep your fingers crossed for me, will ya?
E's summer football is over thank goodness. Another wee of summer basketball, and then they get a week of goofing off. Well - except when they're putting in their slave labor time around the farm when I'm at work. Tomorrow they get to bury the bottom of the garden fencing in so those damno bunnies will stop nibbling on my veggies.

Grrr. Thursday they get to pull those weeds that are growing between our stepping stones near the drive. And weed the aspargus and strawberry beds.
Children make great farm hands. Heh.
Well - it certainly didn't motivate me to get to work, but at least my 14 readers will now know what I'm up to. Oh - and De? I'm thinking I managed to get a sunburn at the lake that will make everyone *think* I went to Cancun too...ow.
Later gators!
