Today, I had a long chat in ustream with a charming 15 year old student in Bulgaria, whose skills in English are excellent (they study English in school).  She posted an amusing link, which I did not visit immediately, because my browser sometimes crashes in ustream.  After our chat, I saved the text, and visited the link.

I was startled to see that it is a Bulgarian youtube-style site with a comedy routine entitled "Achmed the Dead Terrorist"

The humor in this puppet-ventriloquist skit may offend some, as it rather pushes the envelope of good taste to its limit.  What shocked me even more was that this teenager in Bulgaria was watching it.  I read up on Bulgaria, and they have tensions with their Turkish ethnic minorities. 

Anyway, if you choose to watch this, be prepared for some humor which pokes fun at terrorists, and, indirectly, at some aspects of Islamic belief.




Jeff Dunham is an excellent ventrilloquist. The skeleton puppet is quite amusing. And the dark humor is hilarious, but also provocative, and bordering on inflammatory.
