NEW ALBUM INFO...

Right first things first Happy New Year and all that stuff, we had a proper family time and took part in all the usual shenanigans before heading straight back to the studio to complete the second record which I can now reveal to you lot is gonna be called 'Music For The People'. It’ll include songs such as 'Elephant Song', 'Don’t Break The Red Tape' and 'Sing When You’re In Love'. ....

We feel like we have made a big step forward with this album and I can speak for all of us when I say how delighted we are with it all - really hope that you lot feel the same. We decided to go right back to basics with the recording and do it all on tape rather than computers which is how the vast majority of modern records are made, and as a result it sounds huge, like a proper old school rock record. But don’t worry the bangers are very much still there and hardcore Enemy fans will NOT be disappointed I can assure you.

SMALL TOWNS TOUR!

To celebrate the album title we are going to come and play in a bunch of small towns up and down the country for free to a few hundred people, we have some ideas of where we wanna go but would like your suggestions as well. We don’t want to play normal places where people get a chance to see gigs all the time, so be creative in your suggestions. We are gonna go out the last week in February in a van and just do the shows without any fuss, which means that we will announce each show the day before the gig itself and give people on our MySpace and forums first dibs on the limited run of free tickets. We will probably also give some away during the day on local radio and Papers etc. We will also be setting up a special web site for this where people can leave ideas and messages as well as live streams from the shows, photos and videos. We’ll let you know the URL for the site very soon. ....

NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHED

We’ve also just launched our new website www.theenemy.com, it’s a massive improvement on the last one and for the first time has a forum! I’m hoping it’ll be run by fans rather than record label etc so if anyone wants to be a moderator leave a message on our MySpace (www.myspace.com/theenemycoventry) which I read daily. We are gonna be embracing the world of technology for the first time on our new site and will be holding a series of web chats and one to one interactions which will be ace. ....

WATCH OUR UNION CHAPEL GIG FREE...

Lastly we filmed a show that we did for Jo Whiley’s charity (Little Noise Sessions in id of cerebral palsy research) where we stripped everything down to acoustic instruments and we have yet to think of anything to do with the material, so we thought that we would let you lot watch it for free. If you own a physical copy of ‘We Live and Die In These Towns’ album you can now use it to access footage from 2007’s Union Chapel gig. Just have your copy of the album close by and go to: www.theenemy.com/unionchapel

TOUR ALMOST SOLD OUT...

And now after all this free shit some stuff to dig in your pockets for in the shape of our March/April headline tour. Most dates have now sold out and we have had to add second nights everywhere that we could but once they are gone (the brum gigs for example are nearly gone now folks) there will be no more on sale. We are taking out Manc lads www.myspace.com/thetwistedwheel and  www.myspace.com/kidbritishmusic out who are both awesome so check them out. And obviously, get you tickets in if you aint already and let’s have a party…

A gig in Grimsby or Cleethorpes would be mint, we have to travel a minimum of an hour to any decent fuckin gig. Sort it out, it would be mental. Old school.

Best gig I've ever seen was The Last Shadow Puppets in a church in Amsterdam...

I moved to Manchester yesterday. Pick a church in Manchester.

Mint!

'THIS PROFILE HAS BEEN DELETED'
TERRIE BURTON

Im gonna leave my comment on the official link as soon as I can but in the meantime I want to put it on here so you can consider it! Come to Barrow-in-Furness (where? I hear you say!) We fit the bill as a small town where it's hard to see good gigs. The nearest place is probably Manchester (although I have seen some good bands in Preston) Preston is about an hour and a half, Manchester over 2 hours. We have a venue which holds around 500 so, in short we are a perfect choice for you...... (please)
