 The Journey: Old To The New | Henesseys Bio:
Born Genesis Singson, formerly known as tomm-E-gunn, entered the world on October 17, 1983 in the city of Manila, Philippines. He later migrated to Toronto, Ontario Canada, on September 11, 1988. Henesseys is the third child of Everlito Singson, a Rock & Roll musician and guitarist. Although Henesseys constantly got in trouble in high school (eventually dropping out of school), he decided to exchange learning in classrooms for the streets of the arduous Malvern community. Though he decided not to pursue education, Henesseys manufactured a high-level of literacy that would later distinguish his rhymes.
Henesseys is an experienced rapper, songwriter, producer and actor. He has just finished recording his debu CD with all of his own material that was released in August 16, 2005. His mainstream hip-hop style and his Asian and Latin background make him an excellent crossover artist for the U.S. and Canadian market. His album features a broad mix of hardcore and hip-hop music.
Henesseys has performed in a variety of venues in Ontario from wedding receptions to bars and lounges, and even in clubs. He has also exhibited his rhyming skills on various CDs for other artists and DJs.

In addition to his musical talents, he also has the physical look necessary for mainstream hip-hop marketability. He is an experienced and successful actor. So far he has appeared in four movies (Cheaper By The Dozen 2, The Sentinel, Zoom and The Untitled History Project). Although acting is not his main focus, his style and appearance is a plus to his on-stage audience appeal. “My real passion is rapping. For me, acting is just a way for me to express my emotions and feelings and it's a great way to reach out to fans through the film industry. Acting is a natural extension of the sound of my music."
