	kathleen	The last(and only)time I attended WGT was in about 2002,what a good year for folk,etc that was! hagalaz runedance,ataraxia,argine,forseti + rose mcdowall,sonne hagal,romowe rikoitokirlian camera,Helium Vola,Soft Cell,Arcana,Darkwood,Moonspell,Naevus,Raison d´Étre,The Legendary Pink Dots,and so forth(Tomas from ORE was there pimping Cold Meat stuff).Unfortunately,that was also the year that some neofolk people were attacked after the Kirlian Camera event and since then in my opinion,it has become more of a fashion show than about the music.I was lucky enough to get in free that year(a friends band was performing at the festival)but at $100 each or so,that's too much money to put to semthing with such little personal return. 	Nachtjäger III	Great pics... as for me, I went only twice to the WGT and one was when the whole festival got cancelled on the second day because the organizer at the time had apparently run away with the money... Still I will always remember some concerts (Forseti, OTWATM...), the unbelievable Völkerschlachtdenkmal under the coming storm and the Parkbühne crowd - also a fashion show maybe, but much more my style - austrian camo parkas, black boots and clean haircuts by the hundred... ;) And the goths of the Agra Halle, well at least they are funny to look at, so much better than your average hip-hop uniformed youth anyway.   Posted by Nachtjäger III on February 15, 2008 - Friday - 10:09 AM [Reply to this]
