Another wasteland has come and gone.  This was a really fun weekend.  On Friday I took off work.  I've been there two weeks and I've already asked for a day off.  I asked for this day off when I was offered the job.  Anyways I took Friday off so I could sleep in a little and be rested up for the weekend.  Well that didn't happen because I was too wound up on Thursday night and I didn't go to sleep till after 2 in the morning.  I woke up at 8 because the geese were outside making all kinds of noise.  I got up, walked outside and chased the geese back into the water.

I got to the hotel and met up with John so we could check into the hotel.  I started drinking with Barry, Alex, John, Steve, and Jason before the show opened.  We went in to the dealer room at 4:30 when the show started.  The first guest I met up with was Lamberto Bava.

Next was Brett Halsey

Then the man who has been in just about every movie ever made.  John Saxon.  He was really nice and gave me a free 8x10.

The legendary producer David Friedman.  David is almost completely blind and can't hear too well.  It was really nice to see him attend the show.

That was all I got on Friday night.  I ate dinner at the bar with Barry and Alex with Kristin joining us for a drink.  Then it was time for the 8:00 Q&A with Brett Halsey and John Saxon.  I was sitting back kind of far and the lighting wasn't that good in the room so the pictures didn't turn out that well.

The Kingdom of Spiders was showing on film so I decided to watch that.  Since I was drinking since 3:30 I had trouble staying awake.

A group of us just hung out the rest of the night drinking in the hotel lobby.  I ended up going to bed around 2.

On Saturday I woke up at 7 and was wide awake.  I tried to sleep longer but couldn't.  I got ready and had to go to the ATM to get more money because I spent too much on Friday.

The show started at 10 and I watched The Brain That Wouldn't Die.  That was a pretty good movie.  I decided to get the rest of my autographs.

Marilyn Chambers.  She still looks great.

Jeff Lieberman

Adrienne King from the first and second Friday the 13th.

Allan Kolman Migicovsky from Shivers.  This one was funny.  He told me that I looked like Robin Williams.  I told him that I wasn't as hairy or had the body odor of Robin Williams.  Then I said that I wasn't as funny which Allan responded I wouldn't say that.  Then he gave me a free 8x10.  Nice guy.

Tim Lucas and his wife Donna.  He wrote a huge book about Mario Bava.  He was selling it there and I decided to buy it for $250.  He signed it for me and the cool part was that Brett Halsey offered to sign it for me and he took it to John Saxon who also signed it.  Lamberto Bava also signed it.

The Lamberto Bava and Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni Q&A was at 1:30.  I got front row seats for this.

The Joe Knetter reading was later in the day.  It was crazy as always.  I did four shots of Rum.

The grindhouse panel was after this and once again I got front row seats.

We went to Pizza Hut after this for dinner.

The rest of the night was filled with a bunch of drinking and partying as with most wastelands are.  I have a bunch of pictures from the night posted in the Cinema Wasteland Fall 2008 pictures section.  One drunk guy decided to burn rubber with his car out in the front.  The lobby filled up with smoke and it smelled.  That cleared a bunch of people out and I decided to go to bed at that time.  I could've hung out longer.  Strange I drank so much over the weekend but never once felt drunk.

I went to bed around 4 and got up at 9.  I loaded up my car and hung out for a few hours.  I would've stayed to watch a few movies but I was too tired and just wanted to get home.

This was the only picture I took from Sunday.  Kane Hodder who played Jason in a few of the Friday the 13th movies.  He was really choking me.  I was about a few seconds from passing out.

Here is what I bought over the weekend.

The 12 pound Bava Book.

Here is everything that I got signed.

Friday the 13th poster now with Adrienne King's autograph on it.

That's it for this Cinema Wasteland and my final convention for 2008.  The next Wasteland show will be in April.  Thanks for reading.
