Howl Semaj stands on the steps of the Capitol building, addressing the thousands of protestors. Human guards stand around, pushing back protestors as they try to push forward.

The crowd begins to shout louder, and become more unruly.

Marzan and Warren stare out of a large window, watching the situation on the front steps below.

Marzan notices a man heading for the crowd of protestors. There is something strange about him…

Palpatine approaches the crowd of angry protestors and slides effortlessly to the front of the crowd.

The crowd roars. Palpatine waves his hand in front of a soldier.

The soldiers turns, and shoots Howl Semaj point blank in the chest. A stunned silence falls over the crowd. Then…

The Togs riot. Several attack the guard and kill him. Others charge the remaining guards. The remaining Togs charge into the city, shooting off their blasters and setting buildings on fire. War has begun on the planet Toggin.

Marzan watches as the mystery man mind tricks the soldier, and watches the horrific aftermath.

Marzan runs out of the boardroom, with Warren right at his heels.

The scene is now one of total chaos. Buildings are in flames. Blaster fire is everywhere. People are fighting. People are dying. Women and children are screaming.

Palpatine slides through the crowd undetected, like before, but before he can make a complete getaway a side door to the Capitol building opens. Marzan and Warren emerge.

Palpatine runs. The Jedi give chase. Palpatine pulls a comlink from under his robes and turns it on.

Maul is sitting in the drivers seat. He picks up his comlink immediately.

Virzi and Jennis are in the middle of a passionate makeout session on the living room couch. They pause a moment, staring deeply into the other's eyes.

Virzi lays her down on the couch and they kiss again. Neither are aware that Ronan has entered the room and is watching the both of them.

A nearby explosion rocks the entire house.

Virzi exits.

Virzi steps out onto the front lawn and looks around. The entire city skyline glows from the fires. The streets are filled with panicking people.

Virzi heads out into the streets.

Jennis cries.

Palpatine enters the room.

Palpatine force-pushes Ronan into a wall, knocking him unconscious. He rushes Jennis and throws her on the couch.

His hands close around her throat. She struggles underneath him, but he is too powerful

Like a bolt of lightning, Palpatine spins around, drawing and igniting his lightsaber. Not a moment too soon, for his blade clashes with the blade of another.

Lightsabers clash in a dazzling display of red and blue. Virzi fights with the ferocity of a mother mountain lion protecting her cubs. He strikes fast, and hard, but without precision. His lightsaber slices through vases, walls and even a table. Palpatine fights like a cuckolded husband. He makes no attack to disarm or even maim; all of his thrusts are with the intent to kill. Both men have forgotten their years of combat training, and have turned into feral beasts.

Half of the city is on fire. Everywhere, Togs and humans are fighting. Three Togs charge into a house and drag out a man and woman and beat them in the street.

Marzan and Warren, hot on the trail of the mysterious Force-sensitive, pass through the streets quickly.

They turn down an alley leading to the mansion, but standing in the center of it is a young Iridonian boy, dressed in dark robes. He does not move for them to pass. He has his arms crossed, and glares into the eyes of the Jedi with absolute hatred.

Maul says nothing. He doesn't even blink.

Silence.

Marzan makes to go around the boy, but Maul makes a swift movement of his hand. Marzan flies backward fifty feet, crashing into a wall.

Maul unclips his double-bladed lightsaber and ignites both ends. He somersaults the gap between himself and Warren, who barely has time to fire up his own weapon. The two fight, with Maul being the aggressor. Maul back flips, strikes, back flips, strikes again. He runs along the wall, making attempts at Warren's head.

Jennis sits up and tries to catch her breath. The living room is a disaster; the furniture is torn to shreds, the walls are marked with lightsaber burns. Virzi and Palpatine continue to destroy the house.

Marzan comes to, looks about, and sees his Padawan taking a beating from the lightsaber-wielding teenybopper. He joins in the fight, only to find himself being outmaneuvered by the lightsaber-wielding teenybopper. Maul locks sabers with Marzan, and with surprising strength and agility forces the older Jedi Knight's sword into Warren's chest. The Jedi and his Padawan share one final look at each other, before Warren dies.

The living room is alive with flashes of red and blue. The two men are fighting faster now, consumed by their hatred. Virzi makes an attack on Palpatine that leaves his left flank open, and Palpatine drives his blade deep into Virzi's chest.

Virzi falls to his knees.

He dies.

Ronan is beginning to arouse. Palpatine stands over him.

As Palpatine draws to make the kill, Ronan stretches out his hand. The flooring in the center of the floor rips apart, and a lightsaber flies up and into his fingers. It ignites, and the blades meet a quarter of an inch from Ronan's face. Palpatine is stunned, and Ronan uses that time to force-push him backward. Then, Ronan arises, and attacks. He hits Palpatine hard, and fast. Ronan forces Palpatine into the foyer, and with a swift stoke he forces his opponent's lightsaber in the air, and drives his own into the enemy's abdomen.

Palpatine falls to the floor.

A rioting Tog throws a Molotov cocktail through the living room window.

The flaming bottle bursts onto the floor, spraying fire onto the carpet. The flames catch onto the curtains, and immediately the entire southern wall goes up in flames. Ronan rushes back in to find Jennis cradling Virzi's body.

Ronan spins around, and as he does, a lightsaber sears through his chest cavity. Ronan falls to his knees, and looks up into the eyes of his killer. It is not the Senator from Naboo, but the man that taught him everything he knows: Darth Plagueis. Plagueis rears back his saber, and swings hit like a golf club at Ronan's head. A millisecond before the blade touches his neck, we…

She screams.

Plagueis walks into the foyer and stands over Palpatine.

Palpatine is still alive, but barely. He lies there, gasping for breath, staring into the eyes of his Master.

Plagueis bends over and places both hands on Palpatine's wound. The mysterious wind reappears, and when Plagueis removes his hands the wound is gone without a trace. Palpatine passes out.

He pulls Jennis up by her hair and throws her next to Sidious.
