Michelle, if you really, REALLY think that a Pink show is "sexier" than a Powder show, I don't think you've been to a Powder show. Powder does a really great show. You are missing something.

For one thing, Pink is not really all that hot. For another, just look at the stills from the Pink shows. She obviously is having a hard time with the acrobatics. You don't see these kinds of issues at a Powder concert.

Besides, Pink is just a few cliches and artistic thefts thrown into a blender, whereas Powder totally rock. They combine very solid, skillfully-crafted rock with dramatic staging and visual playfulness. They combine ideas that have been used before, but they do it in a truly original way.

I am amazed that anyone would try to defend Pink's artistic integrity, as I have seen no evidence that it exists.

imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  i would contact her myself and give her the benefit of the doubt.  i am sure someone made suggestions to improve her show after seeing yours.  but talking to someone first is always the best way to try to resolve a problem.  talk first.............sue later (only if it gets ugly).  just my two cents from a rabid Powder fan!  ;^)

Ninette is the original and by far the best.  Every person I have taken to a Powder show are in awe of her performance. 

No matter who rips you off, you will always be the first and "The One" with all of the imagination and original ideas.  All of us Powder fans know it, and hopefully, like me, will pass it on.

Ummm... no offence but if you have a look at pink's tour DVD from her 2004 'Try This' tour she was doing all of these stunts/dance moves back then. So I don't think she is ripping off anyone's work.

Would the fact that Pink had a video in of Ninette's performance make any difference? She did. Now, I like Pink's work, but wrong is wrong. Sometimes good people do bad things. You can like Pink, but I don't think you can approve of her actions in this case.

Then, there is the rip-off or Martin F. Emond work. But that's OK too. He's dead, so let's screw his wife and kid out of their due.

I think both of these acts have their inspiration from Cirque du Soleil so if Pink stole from Powder, then they stole from Cirque du Soleil.

 

Its terrible that famous people in the business must steal from us who are creative and inventive.  Patience and I were at your show by chance one day when we wandered into the Key club.  We were blown away by Powders artistic value and unique approach and the talent behind the performance.  The contrast between Phil X s look and Ninettes... it was genius performance by everyone.  I've been spreading the word to everyone I know because its a unique show in itself that really has no match that I have seen.

(We just wanted to blog our 2 cents.)  If its any consolation, I bet Pinks act will be short lived regardless.  But sueing is the language of the beast and the only language it understands.  So go for it. 

Its one thing to get an inspired as an artist, its another to just rip someones act.

It just shows you how washed up and creatively bankrupt Pink is. I feel for you guys not only because you're friends from way back but we've suffered the same copycat bullshit thievery. The funny Pink is really not all that nice to look at and her voice leaves a lot to be desired. Ninette is the real thing...she sings like a bird and is very easy on the eyes...she can captivate like no other performer. I haven't even got to the band and my boy Phil on guitar. Fohgeddabit!!!!
 

pink is a dog , another industry mutt paraded before us like we don't know any better. she couldn't even be a fembot in the Awesome stage experience that is POWDER. Ninette is not only a better performer ( and a hottie ) but  also the superior vocalist. I think i am going to seek Pink's people out right now and give them some New York love. As much as I think that anyone who does such performances is talented there is NO WAY that you can state that there is only ONE group (as Powder are attempting to convey) that does this type of thing, surely then Powder would be "copying" Cirque de Soleil, Le Cirque, Dreya etc and in fact any other person that had used Extreme Circus type equipment in their acts EVER then??...and the never-ending circle continues...on & on..& on.

I am normally non-judgemental in my opinions towards other artists but some of the comments on here are just so......um, for lack of a better phrase I will paraphrase a previous post "Unoriginal". P!nk is an icon, a universally recognised and well loved artist who performs sell out concerts worldwide. I am not sure what music that one would have been listening to to be able to say that P!nk aka Alecia Moore's music is unoriginal it seems that one would have to have been listening to some other "Pink". I come to this conclusion because not only is her music OBVIOUSLY unlike anything else her live performances, although some of them may have similarities to and have been inspired by that of Le Cirque, Dreya, "Powder", Cirque de Soleil and many others she can also get on stage in a pair of jeans & a t-shirt on a stool in the middle of the state and sing her f**kin' ass of performing a sensationally breathtaking acoustic performance with no strings, no silks, no fireworks and no dancers that raises the audience's adrenelin just as high with only her voice and charisma. She doesn't NEED the stage act...it's just an added bonus.

Just to put things into perspective here, (the I'm Not Dead tour was successful worldwide) this is one COUNTRY alone: P!nk came to Australia in 2007 with a total of 7 concerts booked. The Australian leg of the tour was set at a record-breaking thirty-five arena shows, selling around 307,000 tickets—it became the most successful arena tour in Australian history by a female artist, she broke another record by being the only female artist to play seven consecutive sold-out shows in Sydney alone.

Now, come on, to be fair....you don't get that kind of love & support from being a blase, middle of the road and, ahem, "unoriginal" performer.
