No, not the program
But moreso windows in time, that exist and are real for whatever their lifespan, and then are closed. You can look in and see what was, all filed away under the name of memories.
All of these windows exist just for a moment, then they are gone... some people can keep walking on, smile a quiet smile every so often, look back and remember, other's, well they hang on, those memories can hang in the back of their mind like some kind of morning fog that never lifts. Some people, for whatever reason, never close those windows in time.
So we're at a juncture here - There are those that are leaving, and those of us who are staying behind. This window, like it or not, is closing. I have to admit a little sadness on my part to see this particular one do so - all these people here are people that i've come to know as a strange kind of detatched family. This is like any family, there are those you are close to, and those you arent so close to, but they're family all the same, you cant take some out without somehow lessening the whole. So.... Half of them leave, and i can already see the wednesday night "chuar" nights without the same faces, without the same laughs that were had.
Of course new faces will replace the old, new characters will fill the empty seats on wednesday nights, and there will be laughs and good times new to be had. But this window in time will never exist again, this view is about to be frozen in time and filed under the heading of "memory"
So, to those i knew well, and those i didnt. Let me just say that you are all exceptional, and you all made this time all that it was. We will stay behind, in this land far from our homes, where the dysfunctional seems to function and the beer is cheaper than water. Where meat on a stick has a 45% chance of still being alive, and where "n" is pronounced as R. Where the air is toxic and the people are many, where communism is capitalism and where we can see the future of the world by looking outside our bedroom windows.
Each of you will be missed and we will remember you.
