I've been searching for a mate. Well a few in fact. To be more specific, band mates. My entire career I have had seldom occasion with a proper band. It was more often than not, friends stepping in for a date here and there. But no long termers. It is complicated finding prime mates. It could be compared to a romantic relationship. Like anyone, I have a long list of requirements for a match. Things should flow with that person, communication always key,they should have something to contribute, they should help you be the best you can be, there should be chemistry, good rhythm, flexible, available, fun to be around, you should be willing to go on the road with that person, be able to share a room, it helps if you like their smell, you would be fortunate to find someone you really respect and admire and lucky to find someone who would love to be with you so much that they would do it for nothing in return. It's always nice if you look good together. I may have found a mate or two. We will make music for the first time together tomorrow. Fingers crossed that everything feels right.
