ODI Exclusive: From the Set of the New Knight Rider

Hey There All,
Yes, that is right I said a NEW Knight Rider. Now I already know what many of you are thinking...WTF...why are they bringing back all these old shows....!?

Also, perhaps some of you have even read the early concepts about the new KITT might be a Transformer like vehicle. So yeah it might not sound like the greatest concept but with the strike in effect and the script already approved NBC began filming the 2-hr pilot episode this week.

Much to my surprise the production team happened to be filming in my parent's gated community and well I decided to pay them a visit and see if I could get on to the set for a little sneak peek.

Actually very little is known about this new version of the show and there have not been too many casting announcements or details of the plot, so anything I could see would be worth it. Last thing I heard was that David Haselhoff was in talks for a guest spot.

I was able to get to the set, but most of what I could see was just crew setup around a very large house that has a huge yard and that they seemed to be filming indoors. I spoke to one of the crew members who was really nice and they let me walk on to the set in between shoots.

The crew member explained to me that they were filming scenes in the garage of the house and it was set up as a lab with the old KITT that was totaled and being rebuilt. Luckily I was able to sneak a quick peek and grab a few pics. The lab was setup with car parts every where and a black Pontiac (original KITT) that looked like it was getting repaired.

Rumor is that the new KITT will be a Mustang.

Actually seeing good ole KITT broken down into pieces and being on the set actually got me a little excited and I began thinking about the original show!! Hopefully this will end up being a fun show to watch as well.

As far as cast members the only person I recognized was Bruce Davison the person who played Senator Kelly in the X-Men movies.

Supposedly The Hof was there earlier or was supposed to make it at some time later today. Unfortunately the new KITT car was not scheduled to be on set until tomorrow.
