Saturday, September 30, 2006

Just got back from an evening in London, during which time Joss Whedon, Bryan Hitch, comedian Natalie Haynes and I "entertained" two reporters from SFX magazine -- that is, we didn't say anything interesting until the tape machine was turned off, after which we insulted just about everyone we could think of.

Am working all weekend in an empty house.  Send me music, video and sexual propositions.  Will also probably be fucking around on http://www.the-engine.net on Saturday night.  I'm finishing a TV script and will not see or hear another human until Sunday night.  So obviously I'm going to be a bit... tense by Saturday evening.

I agree. Human contact is so overrated. Enjoy it while it lasts, Warren.

Good luck with the script, mate.

Shame we can't read the uncensored chat in SFX though! Haha!

Striking me as odd is your statement that you would "not see or hear another human until Sunday night." Surely your enlarged writerly brain is seeing and hearing humans in some way while breathing life into a "TV script".

Maybe you just won't feel another human until Sunday night.

If this will help, I offer music for Sunday morning:  The Supreme Dispassion

And the neighbors will tell the police, he was always a strange man. Fairly friendly. But rather strange.  Always right writing those funny little stories.

You tense? Nah. More like hopped up on Redbull. Which is an awesome beverage and my comment was not meant to be slanderous in the least. Now is the part where I say something totally inappropriate. Something like.....dude...'Nextwave' is the bomb yo. You are the shit and like my idol and stuff. Keep it real home dawg slice.

It's funny; you talk about hanging out with Joss and interviewing with SFX and it doesn't come off the least bit starfucky.  Is it because you're infamous, too?

Oh no! Crankly Mister Ellis.

I need to cast some new, beautiful girls for a show I'm shamefully starring in.  Perhaps I will forward the final candidates for your lurid perusal....

I think I'd risk the chance of whatever horrible fate is implied by "sexual favors" owed to Warren Ellis, just to get a shot at your delicious brains.

Well, I think I turned the tape machine off... but you always have to consider the potential extortion value of these things.

Good to meet you, Warren! Should make a nice piece.
